So if he makes it through the sahara, through the lands held by boko haram, through the heart of darkness, either across the skeleton coast or predator rich Zambezi river basin he will arrive at cape town. One of the most dangerous cities outside of waco. Got it. Makes total sense.

I'll join powerbelly: He lives.

He's going to run out of money, break down, or get scared by Africa and will consider any of the above a good excuse to back out of the rest of this stupid trip, then write a half assed book about his life changing journey and hope to heck there's some publishing company out there even stupider than he is.

I feel like the death date should apply to the "death" of the trip as well. If by some miracle he survives, the death date chosen would still apply to when he throws in the towel.
