Her narrative doesn't fit at all with her team members exchanging messages about how to get rid of other more qualified bidders who scored higher. There is nothing about that whole bid process that looks ethical, and the messages already made public make it clear that it wasn't ethical.

This thread started about a month ago from the search warrants. This scandal has been in the news for a while, prior to the second polling. Yes the most recent indictments will make things temporarily even worse for her, but the polls will bounce back in the coming months- the media and DNC will make sure of that.

Motion to recuse.

First heard by the judge herself. If denied, you can get it re-heard by the regional administrative judge (Abbott appointee). If that gets granted, it's usually really embarrassing. I forget how reassignment from there actually works. I saw it happen once in a civil matter where the judge was previously in-house counsel to one of the litigants and refused to recuse.
