The meeting last summer got heated when Cagle said, "in the Elevate contract, obviously the one-person shop can't handle all of the work that is to be required."

"This firm was selected by a committee that I had no idea who the firms were that applied. I didn't know who was selected until the (vendor) was selected. Once the vendor was selected, I learned it was the same vendor that did some of our Census outreach, which was very robust. That could not have been done by a one-person firm," Hidalgo said. "... I do not know this person other than they did the Census work, and from what I know, they did a good job at it."

That article has some damning stuff in it. I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg. How does Dora survive this? They have her entire staff dead to rights, no way she is able to claim plausible deniability
Claimed she didn't know the person that got the contract but was texting and emailing back and forth with her.
Claimed she didn't know her while in an official capacity at commissioners court. Surely lying during court is some sort of actionable offense.

I've said it in this thread, but my god is this amazing to me. I literally turned down suite tickets for the rodeo this weekend because I'm doing an rfp and didn't want the look of preferential treatment.
Meanwhile, our crooked ass government is pulling **** like this with taxpayer money. If my management found out I did any of these things in an rfp id be fired in an instant: texting suppliers the scope before it's released, working with suppliers to draft the scope to help them, talking internally on how to "slam to door" on other suppliers for no valid reason.
This incompetence and corruption is frustrating as hell

I tried to post the channel 13 link and got an error message saying something along the lines of "this link has already been posted and discussed in this community" despite not seeing it when sorting by new. I then posted the chronicle story on it and I'm pretty sure they shadow banned me because there has been no engagement with the post.
They were deleting the story of the initial search warrant for awhile. When it finally got posted, the comments were mixed.
They were also deleting the officer funeral video and only allowed the article with her response posted.
100% chance one of the mods is on her staff.
