Just speculation on my part, but I'm thinking the red chroma glow may be something like the aura you can pick up on King's Fall

Kings fall normal will drop 320, hard will drop335 330, and Court of Oryx artifacts will drop up to 335.

Mayhem Clash is so amazing.
I just don't want to run King's Fall again. It's just too tedious to be fun week in and week out.
This was post reward screen when they were loading back into Orbit. Sometimes you get those random engrams and stuff and this is what they got. Looks like a taken ghost shell thats not raid related. And you also get to see the ugly emblem
People are saying its to basically add neon lights to your gun. Notice warlock's gun on the right has red glow while titan's has cyan. 
My guess is that if you select the top bubble you'll get a Tron like glow and the bottom x will keep it plain. The taken gun will probably be the top bubble on updated raid weapons.

Fun run(s) last night. I'm glad we were able to get everything we wanted accomplished and get everyone in for the challenge mode. This is good practice for those of us that want to farm the 335 gear starting April 12 (which I believe starts back with Warpriest challenge mode).
We plan to continue with Hard Mode twins and Oryx tonight, let's say around 8:30 or whenever the basketball game ends.

Did anyone have a checkpoint left for the challenge. I need some 320 gear for my toons but it really isn't that pressing.

I believe we exhausted all of them, however I do need to go back and do Warpriest on my hunter. Not sure how that checkpoint would work though being that I brought the hunter in to do Golgoroth.
You'll just have to start over. You can still get drops on Warpriest but won't get any from Golgoroth if you do him again.
I'd be up for running tonight if we can get the people. I still need gear too.
