My speculation is this was a professional hit for several reasons.

Had to know ahead of time how to access roof, know they had a sight line to stage, etc. Most roof access ladders have locks, so either had bolt cutters or key.

From all accounts, one shot was fired. Not several like Trumps attempt. One shot means they had confidence in their shot.

The shooter obviously escaped quickly probably meaning he had an escape plan and/or had help.

Who?

My guess is possibly Utah/Idaho fringe white supremists or similar. Why? To start or continue to flame a civil war.

Or radical anti Christian religious group. Or even a foreign group.

If they don't have anyone in 24-48 hours, then you have to think it was professional.

Why would you think that? Eric Rudolph hid out for years and he wasn't a professional hitman. Someone can be hiding in an attic somewhere with food and water and not come out for a week.

The shooter shouldn't be able to walk up to a public building and exit with a rifle without being on video somewhere. They will be reviewing videos in the building and from the surrounding area trying to trace the shooter back to a car and going from there.

C3 is misquoting what Solomon said. He never said "foreign intelligence" was involved in the shooting. He said the FBI has some "foreign intelligence" which likely means information uncovered by another country's intel/law enforcement and passed on to the US.

IF and it's a big IF it's true it would be because of one of two options. The first being a foreign group does the hit on behalf of RNC for a returned favor later down the road. Or two another nation did it because Charlie was talking too much about things he's not supposed to.
