Got the kids to school and now learning about them getting the guy. Awesome job! I know it can't possibly fill the void in their lives, but hopefully knowing this evil pos will face the full weight of lady justice allows the family to grieve in peace.

There is a reason. Called low self esteem. No friends, can't talk to women, so they eventually take their frustration out on society because they hate themselves. These are a dime a dozen with this new generation of "men"

In my home, I have encouraged my children to freely engage in the economy of ideas. I don't want to control their ideas, just like I don't want others to control their ideas. I am trying to raise free thinkers. On any given day you might find me criticizing Trump or Biden. Not everything Reagan did was great and not everything Clinton did was bad.
I think that's what so many conservative dads miss (and I am very conservative) is that they think they will be able to raise a conservative by kind of forcing the process. Demonizing the other side and insulting their positions without serious debate isn't the safeguard you think it is. All it does is leave an opening for a liberal groomer to come in one day and "explain" what liberals "really believe in."
I disagree with that strongly, I'm a conservative because the principles of the positions I take are much more logically sound then most if not all liberal positions. I am raising my children to be true free thinkers because I know they will have choices to make in the future and I hope they'll choose wisely. And when that groomer comes to my kids, I hope that they are prepared to defeat their ideas in debate.

Utah State is an Ag school with tons of conservatives and Mormons. I know a grad from there and he loves A&M.

As ive said to others, while his politics are important, he's only one person. I was more outraged by the response of the left. That's our big problem.

Guessing his dad recognized him. Could have also recognized the rifle. That was a fairly unique gun.
Obviously he doesn't exude a grunge / antifa / ****stain vibe. And still close ties to home. I'm thinking the guy was manipulating his SSRIs and was so jacked up he could see his face reflected in the sun. Probably wrong but that's my gut.

I can't even imagine the sinking feeling in the dad's stomach when he figured it out.

I could care less about the killer as I hope he rots in hell. I'm praying for the Dad (in addition to the Kirk Family). I have two sons, and I can't imagine the anguish the Dad must be going through and the disappoint felt that his son did something so senseless. Then the pain of knowing you need to do the right thing and turn his ass in. Has to be tough.....
Come on. We don't need to already start making excuses for him. Being Morman doesn't mean he has been "abused" by the church.
