Completely disagree. I've done substantial research over the last 5 years…. people would be absolutely shocked what psychotropic meds can do and how they can change someone completely for the worse. Oh and the studies done to get meds approved don't release full study results to get them passed.
The majority of Americans have no idea about all of this and will be infuriated as more info comes out about them. Infuriated actually.
And this comes from someone who knows first hand unfortunately. These meds affect head to toe, internally and externally, physically, mentally, emotionally, alter hormones, all the while being marketed that they work in isolation to target a 'chemical imbalance' (by the way that was a marketing tactic pushed to prescribers by pharma reps to keep patients for life confirmed by psychiatrists).
The whole body is affected, literally. As many med professionals I've had science backed conversations with, from top American neurologists thru almost every ologist out there as well as many psychiatrists (who realized I had found out info)- admitted psychotropic meds mask symptoms, they don't treat the underlying cause of what someone is experiencing. And the fallout over time from the meds health wise is shocking. GI, heart, pancreas, HPA axis, male/female hormones, liver, blood work gets skewed, skeletal (arthritis, false lupus and MS diagnoses yet some never know), brain, cognitive functions, as I said, head to toe.
Complete personality changes, SI, chemical anxiety, and chemical depression worse than what people had prior to starting them because these meds can cause exactly what they treat…. Especially if someone tries to come off of them . Yet people/their prescribers think it's the underlying condition coming through, so then more meds are added.
Combined when younger people's prefrontal cortex and brains have not been fully developed…. It can be a complete **** show and devastating.
