He gave his opinion, didn't mention you at all, and then you blew up with some extremely condescending comments toward him. The fact you are now complaining about condescension is one of the most laughable displays of lack of self-awareness I've seen on TA. Friggin hilarious.
just for my peace of mind in the hopes this film doesn't suck because of this…..since the actors are striking now is there a chance they aren't done filming and reynolds will get back in front of the camera?Red Five said:
It's even stupider than that. Ryan Reynolds wasn't going to be allowed to improvise dialogue during the filming of Deadpool 3 due to the strike banning alterations to scripts. Which means he wasn't allowed to speak words that were never actually written.

Good news is, they weren't even halfway done filming before production had to shut down. And because Reynolds' quips are mostly from behind a mask, most of that dialogue can be recorded post-strike, even if the footage was shot pre-strike. So I wouldn't be too worried. The only real negative is that the movie almost assuredly won't make its May 2024 release date now, and will likely get pushed back to later in the year.
Rules like that are meant to protect people's jobs...not to get the job done.Red Five said:

A very unusual development illustrating how high the stakes are, Disney's Bob Iger, WBD's David Zaslav, Netflix Ted Sarandos & Universal's Donna Langley are all present at today's big AMPTP-WGA talks. Scoop via @katiekilkenny7 & @Snoodit https://t.co/b1WXEp3deA

After face to face meeting today, writers and producers near agreement to end WGA strike. Met today and hope to finalize deal tomorrow, according to people close to the negotiations, who, while optimistic, warn that without deal tomorrow strike likely continues through year end.

Hey boss, I want a $1,000,000 raise. The company's revenue is $500 million, so that's only 0.2% of the company's total - should be easy right? (this is the equivalent of the Netfilx number from the tweet)
Using percent of revenue is a ludicrous way to review the numbers. The bottom line is are you worth it? What is your replacement cost?

TTTS are you familiar with Doug Ellin's new project with Charlie Sheen?
He was talking on his podcast yesterday about the fact with the strike they can't get the series purchased by anyone even though they have already filmed the pilot and everyone loves it.
Revenue is not profit. Companies will always look at the impact to profit not revenue. Using comparing the cost increase to revenue in this way is financially illiterate.tysker said:Tell me you're financially illiterate without telling me you're financially illiterate (*)Wrec86 Ag said:

Among many issues, it's totally laughable to use Apple and Amazon's total revenues as if they represent the income of their respective streaming businesses.

Please... Writers absolutely deserve a cut of iPhone of revenue.
I'm sure the union members look at that as a good deal when they compare it to what they pay in union dues.Wrec86 Ag said:Using revenue is misleading and disingenuous.fig96 said:

As an indicator of what a small percentage the writers are asking for relative to the value of these companies it's still an interesting data point.BenTheGoodAg said:LOL. This was posted early in this thread. Still hilariously bad.fig96 said:

It is fair and accurate relative to the value of those business units? Not likely, but guess what? It's marketing/propaganda, it only has to kinda tell the truth.
