We went just over four months without a single official casting announcement on a studio project, seeing as the actors weren't allowed to audition, and the studios weren't allowed to finalize deals. But a number of deals were close to being signed just before the strike, and directors made a ton of casting decisions during the strike as well (actors just couldn't negotiate/sign any deals). So now we're about to get a flood of announcements over the next few days/weeks on a giant backlog of projects.

Several IA locals have made tentative deals with the producers so it looks like the crew will not be striking. Hair and make-up and the grips are the latest to reach an agreement. If the grips fall in line I don't see anyone else holding out with maybe the exception of camera. They usually get the best deal out of everyone.
