With the premiere in a few days, it seems like the right time to get this thread started. I'd say after Jan 1, we can return to the massive Star Wars thread to discuss the film. If you are avoiding videos or discussion of anything spoilery in nature, avoid this thread until you've seen the movie (common sense).

Important dates:
LA Premiere event - 12/10
UPDATED: Review embargo lifts - 12/13 12pm EST (was initially 5 pm EST)
International release - As early as 12/14, so information may start trickling out from fans in the morning hours on that day

From the international trailer:


Below the Corvette is a VCX-100. Same model as the Ghost from Rebels. Also in the image is a Hammerhead Corvette that appeared in "A Princess on Lothal". I'm sure these are fairly common ships, but I think it's almost too coincidental for it not to be the Ghost. With Bail being closely tied to the rebel cell the crew of the Ghost are a part of, and Leia's part in the Hammerheads falling into the hands of the rebels, I think there's good evidence that is the Ghost which fuels speculation that a tie-in for Rebels is in the cards down the line.

Extremely doubtful. I don't see a reason to, or why they should, include any of the rebels characters in this. There just isn't a reason to include them.

The ship is probably just an easter egg/cameo for Rebels watchers.

Probably. But you now how in ANH, ROTJ, and TFA, as the rebel pilots are heading in to battle, they jump back and forth, cockpit to cockpit, as the pilots talk between themselves. Would be cool if they did that in R1 and you got a shot of Hera (sp) piloting the Ghost.

    @Urban Ag- Yeah, if they made direct mention to say Hera and Phoenix Squadron I'd probably have a nerdgasm too. But outside of it being blatant fan service, I'm not sure why they would do it.
