I mean, he's been better than Luka THIS season. Is he better than Luka? Nah, but he's earned the spot. Besides, literally no one cares about All Star Starters. Years from now we'll count Luka's all star selection the exact same as we would Ja's.

The All Star voting system is soooo stupid. The fact that the Suns are the best team in the league and have 0 starters is incredibly dumb. It's basically a popularity contest at this point. Andrew Wiggins is averaging 18/4/2 and yet is starting in the All-Star game is hilarious and yet so so disappointing at the same time. It's complete insanity.

It's mostly a result of the position restraints. Like Ayton was never gonna get the starting C spot because that was obviously going to Jokic. And Booker as a guard was not gonna surpass Steph and Ja. And for wiggins, he's only starting b/c Paul George and Kawhi are both out. So it's kinda like he gets the default bid.

Overall, the all star starters doesn't matter. It's not like First Team All NBA. No one counts "all star starters" it's only "all star selections".

I still like Booker or CP3 over Ja.

Agree with what you are saying about the position restraints screwing things up...I don't see the need for them in the modern NBA. Also agree that all star starters don't matter...at the end of the day I think we are getting to a point where all star selections won't matter at all...all NBA is what matters.

The reason Wiggins got the nod; however, is not because PG and Kawhi are out. It is because of how heavily the fan vote is weighted. He literally had the third most votes amongst fans when it came to front court players in the East. People are speculating that this is largely because of a KPop singer who is a global rep for the NBA asking his audience to vote on twitter and how rabid those fan bases can be on social media. Which is interesting, but it would make sense because of how well Klay and Draymond did in voting as well...Klay was voted fourth out of all the guards in the West by fans despite only appearing in eight games....higher in the fan vote than Dejounte Murray, Donovan Mitchell, CP3, and Devin Booker.

I'm about ready to run the offense through Brunson in late game situations. I'm so sick of Luka taking step back 30 footers when we have the ball with a chance to win on a last possession. It's ridiculous that that's the shot we got with 7.5 seconds left, but it was obvious that's what he was going to do right when he touched the ball.

I like the idea that instead of 2 backcourt and 3 frontcourt, go to 2 back court, 2 frontcourt and 1 wild card.
