First half couldn't have gone better from a defensive perspective, and they're down. Doesn't seem to bode well.

Honestly, the season is over. And it has been a success. We have a new piece we need (Dinwiddie), still need another star level player. We have to get a clear #2 this offseason.
If Luka doesn't come back for the playoffs and JB keeps playing like this we might be able to get him back for cheaper which would be nice. I do not think he is a starting PG on a team that can be a threat to go deep in the playoffs as others do.Ol Jock 99 said:

This and Josh Green going 0fer from 3 has been brutal. Still just an 8 point game though, they can turn it around.
The Jazz just aren't going to be able to score enough points when Luka comes back. Even if Dallas goes down 0-2 I won't feel terrible.

Feels like literally every time we got momentum and had a chance to take the lead Dinwiddie killed it. Frustrating game. He's got to be better.

Problem is we have zero idea if he'll be healthy by Thursday, and if he is healthy enough to go - how healthy.
It's not absolute panic time, but there's a reason Jazz are now -800 favorites to win the series - those aren't odds you see if everything is going as planned for Luka and his return.

The problem was taking the first 2 months of the season off. Then you have to ride everybody hard down the stretch, because you're scared of Phoenix.
We're the better team. I fully expect to win Game 2 with or without Luka.

It's the fun place of being a fan of a team with little emotional investment. We went into this year with a ton of question marks. And a bunch have been answered. This team ain't beating the Suns in a 7 game series. Even with a 100% healthy Luka, which we probably won't have anyway.
I'll enjoy the rest of the playoffs, for however long it lasts. But they learned this season what they needed to for the next couple years. Kidd can coach. We still don't have a #2. The support staff has improved.

Today was the epitome of a well fought playoff game where both teams either make the play or don't. And they did, we didn't.
Don't bring this crap that we couldn't or can't beat this very beatable Jazz team.
