This was discussed at length earlier in the thread. Broccoli chooses actors whose whole persona becomes Bond. You can't do that with someone famous. Daniel Craig is James Bond. Pierce Brosnan is James Bond. Roger Moore is James Bond. Chris Hemsworth is Thor playing James Bond. It'd be a very out-of-character casting choice.

I thought about it, but nyet. Dr. No doesn't need to be remade. The locations are wrong for it, but I really hope the script borrows from the YOLT novel (*not* the movie) to close out the Craig Bond arc.

I actually like the story and mostly don't mind Lazenby. But having him portray a gay Sir Hillary is cringeworthy. It's so over the top that if anyone tried that today they would be skewered. Those were different times 50 years ago.
