All that footage was released months ago. The opening act or so takes place in Jamaica, as on ode to where Fleming vacationed and wrote all of the Bond novels. Why is that so strange?

It was originally slated for next month. But in September of last year, when they announced ***unaga as director, they also announced a new February '19 release date. Then, when Craig brought on Phoebe Waller-Bridge to do rewrites, they pushed the release date back another couple of months to April.

April seems unusual, though the month has been proven a viable release month in recent years.
Since I can remember, is more accurate. My first Bond was Goldeneye.

Looks like release dates have bounced around over the years, but for most of my life Bond has been a November staple. FWIW, Dr. No and From Russia with Love were May releases.

Yeah, the initial teaser title was really nice and then they just kinda slapped it on a photo for this.
They sure spend a lot of time making moderately good movies.

Seeing as the first trailer is LONG overdue, now that production has finally wrapped, and with the first big movie of the holiday season hitting next week in Terminator: Dark Fate, maybe we finally have a trailer by Thursday?
caught the first half of casino royale last night.
i really like the film, but i think the title sequence and theme song are probably my favorite all-time. the graphics and the cornell song are just perfect.
when you combine it with the black and white cold open showing the first two kills and the crazy parkour chase in madagascar, it's just a really great introduction to craig as bond and the franchise's new approach to his films.

At this point, it's looking like they're probably holding it for Star Wars in December. That said, because there are so many huge trailers debuting with Star Wars, I wouldn't be surprised if all the online debuts of those trailers are spread out over the first three weeks of December. So maybe we'll see it sooner rather than later. The only other option I can think of is with Knives Out next week on the 27th, since Daniel Craig stars in it, but as of now there's zero talk of the trailer debuting that soon. We'll see, though...
