I could have taken my time with my Bond rewatch.
Holy crap. The past couple days there were rumors they might delay it, but I didn't think they'd actually do it, and at most I figured it'd be August. But November???

Reading a bit more, apparently the bad guy's plot has something to do with a virus, so it's a sensitivity issue as well, not *just* a reaction to theater crowds (or the lack thereof). Which makes me feel a little better / less alarmed.
I completely understand why they are delaying it. But man does this suck.

I saw a tweet that said "I guess there is more time to die". There are some good jokes here for sure.
I guess the very tiny silver lining is that it returns to its rightful release window of November. Still, not happy.
Dadnabbit. I'm not looking forward to that many movies that I am aware of this year, so this one was right at the top of my must-see list. If the film does contain some kind of virus plot device, then I get it - sensitivity - but this damn virus, while it is problematic for a certain segment of the population, is not the humanity-ending virus that many in the media are making it out to be.

But this sounds more like it has to do with PR optics than the actual virus. With this being Craig's finale, I'm sure they want it go off without any issues.
I hate waiting that long, but it is what it is. I will still be there on opening weekend.

Btw, Craig is still hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, which was obviously part of the Bond promotion. Going to be interesting to see what they do in that regard (in terms of content/messaging, as there's little chance the episode is cancelled or rescheduled at this point).
There's also a Bond Texas Lottery promotion all over the radio here.
