Don't believe a single "next Bond" report until AT LEAST six months after this last Craig iteration hits theaters, and even then that would be extremely premature. There's absolutely no chance the filmmakers are already having those kinds of talks.
What makes it worse is all these "Next Bond lists" have super-famous choices. Part of the Bond lure is the the actors ARE Bond. They're chosen from stage or from middling action films or shows. Some have a bit of name recognition in Britain, but they're almost entirely unknown to American filmgoers.
Craig was a stage actor whose biggest role before Bond was Layer Cake (although he filmed Munich after being selected and before Casino Royale was released).
Brosnan was Remington Steele and the ****** boyfriend on Mrs. Doubtfire.
They're not gonna choose Tom Hardy or Idris Elba or Cillian Murphy. If they go big, it'll be Henry Cavill, who finished second to Craig back when only because of his youth. Broccoli has long been rumored to covet Cavill in the role because of his suave demeanor, look, and delivery. But even he's too famous now. Cavill would be "the Superman who played Bond."
