Get your head out of Damon's. There are MULTIPLE posts of FIRST HAND ****ery going on here.
I have said probably 10x that the dude is below rock bottom
This is a pile on a guy thread that is 3 to 5 years old that tried to die bc he thinks less of himself than you do
That is my point
I would still rather hang out with him than most of you people

Staff, can we start an Old Varsity forum?

So the people that gave him money...how does that happen?
A supposed successful attorney needs emergency venmo money to fix a flat tire or his credit card was lost...whatever the situation.
The stories were that believable that it made sense to wire thousands of dollars?
I can sort of understand the legal work angle. But if you really do need legal help aren't you going to get multiple referrals and do some vetting before spending a lot of money?
sorry for the questions, I'm just trying to understand it all.

Didn't Brandon say he was going to post this evening?
My guess is the legal team at TexAgs put an end to that thought. Can't say I blame them as this is a complete mess given the allegations, potential indirect involvement, timing and lack of disclosure or suspension of his ability to PM others, timing etc.
Will be interesting if the topic makes the show tomorrow. Not counting on it, but is an interesting thought. Might be a good way to address the situation.
I am not blaming TexAgs, just pointing out a number potential issues and solutions. As a longime member, I enjoy this platform and want to see it continue as a leader.
I did not know anything about his dealings...this was not on the Varsity board at any previous time.digging tunnels said:
So my question from the early pages was never answered. When and where are the initial complaints of his scams first being brought to light? And his friends defending him?
Was this on the Varsity board? Is this why only a select few knew? Are those threads still active?

Remember that time Muy was a mod and kept resetting the flag counter when we would vote down his posts, so we caused him to melt down and get fired? Of course we also got Senor Weelson to melt down and get banned quite a few times, too. Precious memories.BQ_90 said:
Another reason why secret mods isn't a good thing
it was cause BK fired his boy. that was the only time i ever had an exchange with him. of course he would be good friends with an unscrupulous buffoon like Glynn Cyprien.Bayside Tiger Ag said:
I remember chatting with him on the basketball board. He didn't take kindly to BK.

Stating the obvious, but when you learn someone who is a Texas licensed attorney gets busted for running a load of marijuana ... hello - Houston, we have a problem.
IIRC, many years back there was a TexAgs originated fund drive for a prominent former football player due to a child's illness. And IIRC, Damon was collecting the donations.
Makes me wonder. Do any of the TexAgs Master Investigators want to track that one down?
he's moreso asking whether Jorts collecting money on behalf of mercy and for the family was legit, not questioning the legitimacy of the charityLostInLA07 said:
Mercy is legit. They are a sponsor here and I actually met Chris Field years ago at the Accra airport in Ghana.
This thread was inevitable. (I've been expecting it for some time) This post sums it up nicely.austinAG90 said:
Good post and much to learn from this. Deats - sorry you got caught in the web but glad you were able to get some restitution. Many on here did not. Damon's web was apparently wide and many were taken And he has reached a place where only those with demons and major issues reach. I pray for him, as I met him many times and he actually used to work for a law firm I employed - he never worked on my cases and there are many on here who have no idea the level of desperation he was and/or is in.
