No ASM helps us out no doubt, but Fraser, Almiron, and Isak are no slouches in the speed department either.

Look thats why they added the 5 mins of stoppage time at the end. Adding 3 additional minutes on top of that is egregious. And yes you might say "Well Pope was down in stoppage time." And you would be right but even if you factor that in he wasn't down for 3 mins.

Carvalho's finish was unreal though so I will give you that.

Stoppage time posted isn't a hard deadline. The on-field official is free to adjust up as he feels is appropriate. They could have added 8 minutes each half and still not made up for what Newcastle was wasting.

I give that a solid meh. Egregious is a strong word considering Pope wasted 1.5 min himself by faking like he was hurt and also took at least 30 seconds for each of his goal kicks.

30 more seconds isn't necessarily egregious hahaha
