Thats the "Thiago Experience". When he is fully fit, he plays the most beautiful football you've ever seen. Unfortunately, he is only fit 50% of the time. He is worth it, but you have to be prepared for his inevitable absence. I'm assuming the plan will be for Harvey Elliot to play more. If he can hold up physically, he could definitely replace Thiago. The kid has been playing really well lately.
We could also start Darwin w/ Bobby and switch to a 4-4-2. That might be a fun wrinkle.
Whatever we do, we need to come out of the gate with way more intensity. The team has plenty of depth to survive if they play with the proper energy.

Harvey signed a five year deal today. And for those bagging on his look, keep in mind he used to sport a top knot.
Matip didn't train today and now looks like he's out for Palace. Thank goodness Joe Gomez is actually fit for once. I'm already having 2020/2021 flashbacks.

Palace playing very deep with those 3 CB playing extremely tight to each other. Crossed balls will be difficult to finish with so many bodies in the back. We, unfortunately, don't have very many options on the bench. I'd take off Milner for Naby or Carvalho and see if we can push the issue. Palace won't be looking to push forward anymore and just trying hold on to what they have.

Looking more like it's going to be a fight this year. Look more like 20/21 than last year. Defense has been consistently giving up goals especially with the high line against a pacey forward since the last part of last year. I don't think we've had a clean sheet since March or April. Hope a trip to Old Trafford is the cure. If we get to play it....
