Without knowing everything else they are looking at, that is a very large drop in temp from Wed to Thurs on the weather channel forecast. Would not be surprised to see some strong weather pop up whenever that drop occurs

POW is now calling for a real party tomorrow.
Heavy heavy rain in North Dallas. Lost power about 10 minutes ago. Oncor says 7:30 estimated restoration.
Ours flickered and was gone for about 15 seconds.

Every forecast I'm seeing has highs in the 70's and some near 80 next week.
It's so far out that it's kind of useless to even bring it up. No-one even knows what will happen tomorrow at this point, lol.

The models the Mets use here only look out about five days with any accuracy. Inside of 48 hours they are pretty accurate.
Have to look to the Canadian models for cold air insight out farther than five days.
Those models don't seem to have been right about tomorrow. Or maybe we have a round late afternoon?
Looks like tomorrow all depends on whether the cap holds. If it holds then we stay dry but if it breaks then things could get severe.

Decent chance the cap holds tomorrow. If you see clear blue skies, especially to the west, it's going to break.

What was being said about today was that storms are possible in the afternoon to evening hours. And they still are.

Work from home really kills that plan unless we loss power and I sure as hell hope that doesn't happen.

Anything near actual DFW is getting nothing, 2 or 3 hours away, maybe/probably.
Flying northeast out of DFW right now, intense lighting up near the border
Cap still holding over NTX.
