As long as you looked up how to do it on the internet, you intentionally got your victim alone, and then you claimed insanity due to high hormone levels…

Maybe. You never know. There once was a time we could all stand around in a group and say "OK, everyone who thinks raping people is bad, raise your hand." And everyone's hand would shoot up. Now, that's not the case. We have these gray areas, and shoulders, and gaurdrails that have a "yes, but" attached to them.

It's f-ed.

Some of the loonies I'm still friends with online not only say that the mom should go to a hospital until she gets the treatment she needs, then immediately be freed, but are also saying the husband should go to jail for contributing to her mental state that caused her to murder her children.

For those way in the back. Mom kills children, mom should be free and dad should go to jail.

That is some gold medal mental gymnastics.

There was a time not so long ago that the village idiots were scattered throughout the land and isolated from each other. Social media allowed them to realize there were others like them and to gather their voices.

We are now forced to listen to their collective stupidity.

Mass Formation Psychosis. Brought to you by the CCP via TikTok.

And Im sure when you inquire about why the husband should go to jail, it's mostly crickets...or feelz/vibez, they just feel that she couldnt have done this, since she was a nurse and "good mom". Good moms dont strangle their kids, methodically, one by one, with exercise bands.

Maybe society pretending for the last 2 decades that being a mom was "the hardest job ever" to placate SAHMs insecurities is finally coming home to roost. Evidently, having the "hardest job ever" means when you get frustrated you can murder your customers, with premeditation, and it's all good. You just need to go back to the psych ward so they can adjust your medication and then back into civil society in you go.

Yeah, I have a friend too who thinks the husband should bear some responsibility.

Do you know why they think that? Is there any evidence of that?

He does share responsibility. Not legal liability, but sitting by why your wife is prescribed ssri after ssri is off to me.

But she's the one who told her husband to go out of his way to get her "favorite" takeout that she hadn't ever asked for. That, to me, is premeditation.

I guess maybe they are trying to bring more of the Yates case into this one, when they are very different. Rusty was told not to leave his wife alone with the kids by a doctor, and he did anyway.

There is no evidence that Patrick did this; so my supposition that it was basically "vibez and feelz" seems accurate.

What would have been the proper response? Working from home? Hiring a nanny to assist 3 days a week to give her a break? Having his parents and her parents help and be on call 24-7? He pretty much did all of that.

Or is it his fault that he didnt get her committed against her will? Even she tried that and was turned away.

Im just curious what women who support her think that he could have done differently.

It's nuts that we are even talking about this. She and her defense admitted that she murdered the 3 children. Everything else is just noise.

He will probably live with the guilt of this on his conscious for the rest of his life, but legally speaking I don't see how he could be held responsible at all

If it was at all known that she wasn't able to be alone with her kids without killing them then she should have been involuntarily committed

Works that way with no fault divorce. Wife gets half of everything and custody of the kids. And the house.

I just want to say that I'm a Christian white female and I firmly believe she needs to be locked up indefinitely - either in jail or a mental institution. Hopefully during that time she finds God and seeks forgiveness but she doesn't need to be released to society after what she's done.

She will be released if she is not convicted, it might take 5 years, but she will. What she needs is a bullet.

Maybe he believed in vows. Pretty sure there's a part in there about in sickness and health. Nothing about after you're wife or husband kills all your kids.

Fr… my wife had tough postpartum but I never thought she was capable of murdering my children. (She obviously never would)

I think at some point you become so desperate you become immune to it. Just hoping at some point something works and fixes your wife. Or you just become so out of love with the shell your wife has become you just become exhausted and indifferent and totally hand everything off to doctors.

Due process? She said she did it. Her lawyers said she did it. Prison? Try firing squad, electric chair, lethal injection.

Anyone stressed out and on psychiatric meds should be able to kill people, especially if it's just their own children. Even if thoughtful premeditation is involved.

This is a question for the attorneys.

Where did the attorneys fail to convince the jury to get to guilty verdict.

I found the problem. Apparently, they opted to use a female prosecutor.
