The body was so heavily decomposed most of the case was based on circumstantial evidence and the prosecution couldnt really say how or what caused her death.

They went for murder 1 with not enough evidence to support that charge.

She definitely had something to do with it.

Not saying the dude missed the signs, signs could have been there and they were not enough to break up over. I remember my ex wife getting bent out of shape because I called it that Casey Anthony was going to walk. She called me all kinds of names, it truly was kind of the end the marriage at that point. She just couldn't understand why I thought Casey should go free. Even spending hours talking to her about the charges and how the D.A. failed to prove their case. It all fell on deaf ears.

Not saying Casey is 100% innocent. Like I told my current wife when we were dating. It's not what you know, it's what you can prove. If a defense lawyer can get one member to have their mind changed, boom, hung jury. D.A. has the hard job, proving the case without reasonable doubt. Defense job, poke enough holes to make room for doubt.

I am curious how many fathers are installing nanny cams, hiring PI's, or getting a divorce lawyer to see what legal action they have.

Wait. Wasn't the evidence overwhelming that Casey Anthony did it? Didn't she lie her ass off about the abduction of her daughter?

I will say...she did not age poorly.


The circumstantial evidence, and just the general lack of evidence pointing toward anyone else, showed that with near certainty Anthony was involved in disposing of the body at the very least. The problem was that because of the state of the body they could never say for sure how or when she died, and it's pretty much impossible to convict someone of first degree murder if you can't even tell the jury with certainty that the victim was murdered.

But in practice it's nearly impossible to come up with a scenario where Anthony didn't either cover up an accidental death or commit the murder. And because it's hard to fathom a loving mother covering up an accident that killed their child, I've always considered her guilty in my mind. It just makes no sense to cover up your child drowning in a swimming pool.

Why I thought negligent homicide would have been an easier charge. At least get her on something. Then if the DA finds evidence that comes back to murder, then charge her with murder.

Am I wrong for thinking this.

No amount of logic is going to convince the illogical that orange man isn't so bad that we should all vote for socialists in 2026. Custody battle. In reality, this is her killing the kids to punish the ex and she should get the death penalty for it. Like what we did to John Battaglia. He was crazy and we killed him anyway because he deserved it.

Well said. Just google what restorative justice really is. Its not just a new nonsense word the left created. Its basically "well yeah the crime happened, but how can we get the best outcome for the victims and the offender."

It's complete nonsense. The only thing the offender deserves is punishment for what they did.

I wonder if Patrick Clancey was considering divorce prior to the mass murders. Demented people have been known to kill their own children after divorce or separation becomes a topic of discussion. Her entire defense revolved around her victimhood. Shedding light on a plausible motive would seem like a logical strategy for the prosecution. As for Patrick, he has an ongoing lawsuit against the pharmaceutical companies, doctors and hospitals and that would conflict with him admitting to marital problems. How could there not have been serious marital problems?
