A good reminder that this all played out exactly as right wingers predicted based on the current state of society and the makeup of the juror.

If you don't think we're also right about Clancy getting out of the institution in a few short years then you just refuse to pay attention.

Another comment she made struck me, "He had no heart." This jury was made up of 11 feelers and 1 thinker. Their job as jurors was to weigh the evidence presented to them objectively, not impart their feelings.

Also pay attention to anybody who was saying the jurors wearing pink did not mean anything. Those people have no read on modern society.

The smart people continue to be vindicated after the interviews today.

I'd say the over/under for her stay starts in single digits. Probably starting at 6?

Honestly I was at 6.5 for a fair o/u during the trial. Knowing what we know now, I'm thinking it should be 3.5 with heavy juice to the under.

I am half way convinced this is a Psyc-Op to tear apart husbands and wives. The jurors both the women and the holdout are straight out of central casting. I looked at my feed vs my wife's feed and the difference is mind blowing.

This whole thing is insane. I think a lot of this stems from the fact that we don't call crazy people crazy anymore. There was a time when you could decide on the spot someone was nuts, and boom… into the nuthouse you go!!!

Then we decided that crazies can't be separate and they need meds and they can stay with normal people and before long we have crazy *****es murdering their kids and then blaming their condition. It's absolutely nuts. Completely unacceptable.

When do we , as a society, say enough is enough. No more bullcrap excuse, no more purple haired people "expressing themselves" and being "special". **** all that.

It won't happen until a bought and paid for media is bankrupted into being honest. With a corrupt media, you will always have ladies in pink supporting a mother that in the words of a juror that voted to let her off "viciously murdered her children"

It was 8-4 at the beginning, so 8 out of the 9 women were in favor of NGRI initially; 3 were persuaded to change and 1 was the lone holdout.

I cant imagine the load of bull**** this guy had to endure for those two weeks.

I learned something new today....

I kept hearing these jurors use the phrase "reasonable doubt". I'm very familiar with reasonable doubt as it applies to determining guilt or innocence in a criminal trial.

That said, I couldn't understand why they were discussing it in regards to an insanity defense and reasonable doubt isn't generally the standard for success.

I apparently missed that Massachusetts is one of the few states that when the defense utilizes an insanity defense, the state is required to prove the defendant WAS SANE BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT.

Being a Texan....that is a crazy threshold and requirement for the prosecution.

If the trial had been in most states or federal courts, the lone hold out would have meant the defense failed to meet their burden and she would have been Guilty, no mistrial.

I now have ZERO confidence that she will ever be found guilty in Massachusetts under their specific laws.

Even this broad says she still believes Clancy is criminally responsible. Guess it's a real man duty now to do jury duty as much as possible and make sure you get picked.
