I agree with this. She's a nurse, so she obviously understands the phrase "horizontal for attention, vertical for results." Then she jumped out of the second story, not a long fall at all.

Instead of discussing getting PPD women the help they need, we need to talk about getting the children the help they need, which is protection from their psychotic mothers.

Watching women rally around this monster and attempt to justify her actions has been one of the most eye opening and disgusting things I've ever witnessed.
I used to joke about it, but after watching the rise of elected far left loons, socialists, Islamists, etc. it's clear that we really do need to repeal the 19th amendment. There's a reason women were relegated to certain places in their various societies
throughout the millennia. We are so quick to throw the baby out with the bath water as it relates to our ancestors' insight and wisdom. Yes, some of them held some abhorrent beliefs and we've evolved past them. However, it's becoming ever more clear that societies were organized in certain ways because certain truths were recognized and that our "enlightened" age is an outlier in human history. Our dismissal of thousands of years of human nature in the name of "progress" is proving to be folly….and this applies to many things, not just the topic at hand.

This singular event has basically destroyed my willingness to trust women in any position of authority at all. They are incapable handling the modern world.

This woman posted this while holding her baby. She should have her custody removed and be committed because she is an abject danger to her kids. This is a literal threat of murder on her kids.

This trial is much more alarming than karmelo's. I already knew there were a lot of racists with a tribal mentality no matter what someone did who has the same skin color as them. But seeing women in droves admit they have thoughts of murdering their babies so they side with a baby murderer is absolutely insane.

It is really concerning to see how many people are willing to openly admit to thinking about killing their kids on social media.

I understand postpartum depression is a real thing and needs to be treated and taken seriously...but goodness gracious, I would think if someone had those types of thoughts they would be seeking help and only sharing that with very close family members or friends that need to know or can help...

This was reported on July 23rd. Does anyone here know how many women are actually on the jury?

The jury is made up of 12 women and 6 men; six alternate jurors were seated.
After two days, 12 total jurors have been selected out of a desired 18 for Lindsay Clancy's murder trial. So far, seven women and five men are seated on the jury.

Where was the husband during her breakdown? She said she needed help and the medical professionals failed her but where was the husband in all of this? Seems like he either didn't know or didn't take her cry for help seriously. And the optics of him don't look good, he rebounded with a new chick 3 months later…

Seems like a sad sad deal all around. And seemed preventable too.

If a quarter of all babies are murdered before birth, then it's easier to accept killing them after birth.

He was apparently either on the phone or in the room when she called her psychiatry office telling them she was having intrusive thoughts and asking for help. There does not seem to be documentation of what the intrusive thoughts were or if she was even asked about the contents of the intrusive thoughts, just that she had reported intrusive thoughts. The nurse practitioner who took the call did not think there was justifiable reason to report her to the appropriate authorities for an involuntary mental health hold. If I'm not mistaken they cited the husband's presence as a support system factor.

I don't know how the system works in Massachusetts but in Texas someone can go to an ER to report these symptoms and they can be held there while awaiting placement at an inpatient facility. In my opinion this phone call was the last chance someone had to intervene and in my opinion they failed. Obviously hindsight is 20-20. I think she should have been instructed to go to a hospital at that point.

At one point the defendant herself sought to check herself into a mental institution but was denied due to the extreme amount of medication she had been taking.

She sent him out to the pharmacy, and then to pick up take-out from a place they never go which just happens to be way far away from everything else. And mapped how long of a time window she thought she would have from sending him out of the house like this.

In that timeframe, he called her phone and she didn't pick up, then called him back later and was conversing completely normally.

I think the official timeframe for Patrick, door to door, was 53 minutes.

I think the over-emotional reaction to the case is alarming in that too many people don't know much about the circumstances of the situation and are either blindly hating her or blindly supporting her. I think the facts of his case warrant an opportunity for an insanity defense that a jury should decide based on the facts.

This idea that the husband did it and framed her is ridiculous and the defense is not even arguing that. It's just social media made up garbage.

Social media hysteria drives me crazy. It does not allow for nuance or deeper dives into the situation, just hyperreactive slop.
Vessel
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Define the difference in this instance between "social media hysteria" and "the way women are."

The case is wholly uninteresting on its own. What's interesting is the societal reaction to it and how we deal with the ramifications.

And there is zero evidence she hated her kids, did not want kids, was having any issue with her kids leading up to that day. She had no violent past. I don't think prosecutors put on any witnesses stating otherwise.

For the prosecutors to be right in this case she would have had to be one of the most sociopathic cold-hearted individuals on the face of the planet to concoct a scheme to fake mental illness just to kill her kids for no real reason whatsoever.

There's also a situation somewhere in the middle where she was severely mentally ill (and likely having severe medication side effects) which affected her judgment, but not to the point where she was truly criminally insane. Where that line is is difficult for anyone to define.

But she also didn't just snap and rage on her kids.

There was at least some amount of planning to send the husband away and to set up the basement for the murders and strangle each kid one by one.

It doesn't matter if someone is legally insane. If they have the mental capacity to carry that out, they should be sent to prison forever or sent to hell forever.

In premeditated fashion, didn't she send her husband away on errands literally so she could murder her children? Or are you blaming him for not curing her mental illness?

Also, F the "optics" when your wife went psychotic and murdered your three beloved children. He is probably looking to fill several large emotional voids in his life right now. Can you see how someone would want to maybe ditch that old horrific reality in search of a better life and a new start? I cannot even begin to fathom what he has gone through and will continue to go through for the rest of his life.

He is literally the ultimate victim. And it's crazy that millions of wannabe victims and wacked out conspiracy theorists who have never endurd any hardship in their delicate little lives are villainizing him because he hasn't handled things extactly the way they wanted him to.

So she used her training to jump out of a window in such a way that paralyzed her but did not kill her, and injured herself in such a way that at one point she had to be rescustitated at the hospital. That's some pretty good training.

This is almost as nonsensical as the husband did it crap.

Women can appear capable until put in a position of stress or more public scrutiny and wilt. See: Amy Coney Barrett.

It's easy to act tough and principled when there are no stakes.

She can lack common sense and athleticism (perfect description of a woman) and end up in the state she ended up in.

Same, because the risk is too great, even though there are exceptions. Hell, I know a couple women fine with repealing the 19th. That is based imo.

I hear you. Do we know the timeline of how long she was struggling? That's what I mean by "where was the husband?" If this went on for months seems like the he and want to take action. Either he didn't notice, didn't know what to do, or she was acting fine around him or not struggling for long. It's so hard to wade through.
I found the medicine list, not the heavy meds I was expecting. I didn't see mood stabilizers or things like that. Lots of rehab style medicine then a heavy dose of Valium which was questionable. I only saw two doses of SSRIs. Really looks like she snapped

I have had two buddies whose wives have gone through serious prolonged psychotic episodes...we can cast blame on the husband from afar, but I will tell you that I would not wish that level of hell and stress on any man.

He works in the tech sector, what does he know about helping his batsh** crazy wife? That's what her doctors were for, and they wrote her like 15 different medications. Are we really expecting this level of responsibility from men? How about women if their husband loses his marbles? Do we say "where was the wife" when he is secretly planning to kill the whole family?

Honestly, just having one child, let alone three, is enough to eat up all emotional bandwidth when you also have a job. Feels like we're asking this poor man to be superhuman in hindsight. I am sure if he knew that she was actually a threat to murder his children, or was planning to do so, he may have taken some action.

People like this is who women look for to form opinions. And since so many of these vapid celebrity people are either ******ed or mentally ill themselves, it proliferates.

Ignore all of the evidence, and the admission of the accused herself, this person's therapist said that women dont strangle, so there you go. Case closed.
