Anyone else watching this trial. I don't think she should be on trial unless there's a reason why they have to go through the motions. Like Andrea Yates. Go straight to mental facility.

It's a new thing where when a person pleads "not guilty", the government has to go through the motions to prove their guilt

Even if she's found not guilty, she's going to a mental facility. I just don't see why there wasn't some type of plea deal. Waste of money.

The proper terminology is "lawyer relief fund".

While the husband larps about with a new wife.

Patrick Clancy, has remarried and started a new life in New York City. In April 2024, he wed Dr. Rachel Danis, a reproductive endocrinologist.

She needs to go to the death chamber. I've never understood why psycho killers are treated differently. Murder by reason of insanity should be a prosecutor's tool to accelerate carrying out an execution

Maybe, just maybe, the prosecutor's expert witness says she is not insane. Maybe she is just evil.

Our system is based on the common law necessities of mens rea and actus reus. You have to have the criminal mind and the criminal act.

Why do we have a penal system? It's one of five things: rehabilitation, deterrence (specific or general), punishment for the offender, isolation of the offender to protect society, and societal revenge.

I don't know which one is right, but with the exception of isolating her from society, none of these justify her prosecution. With regard to the isolation - a mental institution would be best.
RDV-1992

I don't know what she did. But I do know that lots of people feel sorry for the criminally insane. At least until they have to live next to them. Then that feeling goes away. My point is that isolation from society is a benefit for society. And it saves the criminally insane from themselves, in the sense that they aren't allowed to do more harm to the most vulnerable.

But in theory, she could get out of the mental facility in relatively short order right?

If the psychosis was caused by PPD, and that's now in the past, and she's recovered. They could deem her fit to be released at any point.

Andrea Yates apparently waives her right to be reviewed for release, but Lindsay could exercise it and get released whenever.

She deserves to be locked up somewhere for the rest of her life. I'm fine if it's a mental institute, but she lost the right to be free (imo).

I went to YouTube and watched a clip of today's trial. The medical examiner was testifying about the autopsy of one child and the defendant was crying and saying she can't do this. She's paralyzed from the waist down because she tried to kill herself in prison. This is one of the darkest things I've ever seen.

Opioid addicted psychopaths who murder their 3 children are now considered victims. Not sure how we fix this.

She's paralyzed because she jumped/fell out of a window at their home after she killed her 3 kids.

The key is to jump from more than 6 stories and onto concrete not water.

It's really curious that the husband got remarried to his new gf a year later, was posting reviews of hiking trails a few weeks after his 3 kids died, there was an email sent from his work computer when he was supposedly out running errands (the timeframe where the wife killed the kids), etc etc etc…

No, he's not. He's an unprofessional, bumbling, abrasive old man who needs to retire. He was unaware that the woman he was cross-examining was his client's counselor!

She's admitted to guilt, is obviously guilty, and should be put to death whether insane or not.

What's crazy about this trial is the number of people (mostly women) who are so psychotic that they are doing whatever to defend this woman.

It's sort of like how we got to see how pro-violence the left is by their reaction to Charlie Kirk's murder. Now we're seeing how unfit for general societal/political participation women are by their reaction to this case.

False. He started dating her 13 months after the murders and they got married in April 2026, over 3 years after the murders.

People grieve in different ways. He could have just been lonely and trying to connect with people. (I'm assuming your hiking review claim is true, I imagine it actually isn't. You seem like you get your information from female TikTok.)

There is no evidence it was sent from his computer. It was sent from his iPhone. People send emails from their phone all the time.

Unfortunately this is not completely true. She could easily be out in a year. There is a yearly review process in that state for all committed persons. If a review panel thinks she's fit to be released, she could be released any given year.

And based on what we know about who occupies positions on these panels, she'll surely be out of an asylum within a decade and she'll kill again.

They were married in April of this year, more than 3 years after the murders. God forbid the guy move away from the worst place any person could live and try to pick up the pieces of his broken life.

I get why they are prosecuting the case because three kids are dead, but this is just straight up classic insanity.

She had been seeking help from psychiatry for a significant period of time after her last child was born and tried to admit herself into an inpatient facility. The nurse practitioner she was seeing had tried something like 10 different medications which ended up making her worse. The inpatient facility rejected her because of all the medications. The cross exam of her treating nurse practitioner was brutal.

The prosecutors are claiming that she faked trying to kill herself get away with it which seems a bit ridiculous considering she jumped out of a third story window and paralyzed herself. She coded and almost died in the hospital. The prosecution team is going with a very emotional presentation. Pretty much every lawyer I've seen who is following the case is criticizing the prosecution for their methodology and seem to believe that if there's ever a case for a real insanity defense it's this one.
Everything I post is my ignorant opinion expressed in the emotions of the moment. I don't know jack about anything other than the things I do know about and sometimes even I don't know the difference.

She sent her husband out of the house then methodically killed each of her three kids one by one.

Doesn't matter if she's insane or not, this type of person is incompatible with polite society. She needs to go somewhere which insures she'll never see the light of day again. A mental institution and its bureaucrats would not fulfill that need.

The only justice here is life in prison with no chance of parole or death by lethal injection, ideally within 24 hours of the trial ending.
