Amazing that the defense team is completely admitting guilt even though Woman internet won't agree.

What he says at the end is also extremely important. We have to figure out what was going on her mind? That is completely impossible. It's why the classification of insanity is illogical and has no limiting principle.

She had recently been discharged from an inpatient facility. Of course there were signs, but even with those husband has been told by her docs that she is well enough to reintegrate into home life. He risks upsetting that difficult balance if he treats her with suspicion or refuses to go on errands to the pharmacy or for dinner.

Anyone who has even experienced a hormonal or emotional wife at times (99.99999% of married men), can expand that 1,000 fold and at least imagine what a horrible jam this guy must have been in.

Between a rock and a hard place doesn't even cut it. In some states you can place someone into an involuntary psychiatric hold I believe. But imagine the reservations a spouse must have with that...what are they going to be like when they get out? Will they enact vengeane? Will they be MORE crazy? etc

Heart breaks for him and the baggage and trauma he will always carry. Hope he can find SOME happiness in his new life, with new wife and child. May he be reuinited with his three children in the presence of the Lord someday.

With her medication list I figured she went to an inpatient facility. After she got out she was put on a different SSRI and a lot of Valium but non of what she was on was reflected someone going through intense psychiatric emergency. She had been prescribed a lot of Valium, I wonder if she took it all and became dependent leading to bad withdrawal.

In the early 1960s when I was 8 years old, my mother had a psychotic breakdown in our home. I've never spoken to anyone about it except my siblings. She was taken to a psychiatric hospital and received shock treatment and probably Thorazine. She had some more episodes because at times she would quit taking the medicine, which was almost as debilitating as her illness. My father was a single parent much of the time. Looking back, I do not believe any of us children were ever in danger, but Dad did what he needed to do, my grandmother helped, and my mother never tried to hurt us. I cannot understand why no adult in that family or the doctors were proactive about protecting those children. I said this before. I have no sympathy for anyone besides the murdered children. On the witness stand, I see no remorse from the two grandmothers who knew she was very ill and did not intervene.

You have no sympathy for the father and husband who had to endure a psycho wife and bend over backwards to cater to her, all while being the sole provider...who came back from running errands to find out his precious children had been BRUTALLY MURDERED?

Ice cold take...heartless even...but not surprising if you are a white female on tik tok or instagram.

I am sure a lot of men have psychotic, clinically insane wives and it's a massive burden for them, but they still believe that surely the wife would never harm the children over it. It's so rare that it's a statistical impossibility. They typically harm themselves or just let their lives spiral out of control to the point of not being functional.

How did he ignore the signs?

Knowing your wife has been prescribed 32 different medications for various psychological issues would seem to be an indicator that something is afoot.

Idk if he "ignored the signs," or whatever, but it seems like there were some there.

So a desperate guy with a genuinely crazy wife and zero medical experience should be forcing his crazy wife to ignore what medical doctors are prescribing her in an attempt to combat her mental illnesses?

If they had her on that many medications he should have had her ignore the doctors. Those medical "experts" are idiots. Why do so many people just automatically assume doctors know what they are talking about?

I cant help but notice something about the ones signing the scripts.

It also appears that she was doctor-shopping after a time, and using multiple providers to hide her comprehensive history.

Tufts --> Paul --> Jollata, with Tufst prescribing her something a few weeks before christmas, after nothing since early November.

How long does it take to get your electronic medical record updated? Did all of these people look at her full history and still agree to give her access to more?.

Between Jan 9th and Jan 23rd, she sought and received FIVE Rx of diazepam from 2 different doctors(2mg) Tufts and Jollata. 5 refills of Diazepam in 2 weeks. Were they giving her 1 pill at a time? Why did she have to switch doctors in the middle?

Maybe he tried. None of us were there. Just have some sympathy for the man.

Thank God none of us have had to manage such a psychotic wife with three small children (including a baby) as the sole household earner.

Sorry man, blaming him in any way might be even worse than blaming a scantily clad woman for being raped.

This case is so odd for such a variety of reasons.

One of the things that stands out in my mind about the court process and the social media emotional hysteria is that it seems to be playing out the opposite way in the courtroom.

The defense thus far has been the more focused and clinical. The prosecutor has been pushing the emotions of the jury much more than the defense.

The prosecutor's case-in-chief really lingered on the brutality of the killings. In my opinion it was a bit risky as some jurors may be put off by it. They have to prove the killings took place and that she did them, but (at least according to several experienced trial attorneys who have been following the case) you don't want to unnecessarily traumatize the jury.

One of the best opening statements I've ever seen took place in the Chandler Halderson murder trial. He was accused of murdering his parents, cutting up their bodies, and distributing them around different places in Wisconsin. The prosecutor apologized to the jury for having to show them pictures of the remains ahead of time and promise them he would only show them the absolute minimum necessary to make sure he proved his case.

In this case though I think the prosecutor pushed right up against that line. Nothing wrong with it if it works as long as it's done within the bounds of the rules of evidence, but there's a risk that some jurors may be turned off by it if they feel like they are being emotionally manipulated.

There's been some social media chatter about the prosecutor wearing different bows in her hair to honor the little girl because she like to wear bows in her hair. I've seen nothing that confirms that's what she's doing and even if she was I don't see anything wrong with it.

The prosecutors will get their chance to be dry and clinical in rebuttal and I'm sure they have a line of experts ready to go to testify that she was not in a sufficiently psychotic state to avoid responsibility for her actions.
ErnestEndeavor
How long do you want to ignore this user?
And I'm still in the mode that I do think she had genuine psychosis at the time and may not be legally responsible for what she did, while simultaneously hating much of the social media chatter about the case.

The "we are women so we must support women" aspect of this is annoying as hell.

It's a completely insane and heartless take tbh. You clearly don't have any children. The dude had a full time job as sole provider, three small children (including infant) and a bat ch** crazy wife, and you're siding with the rabid barren cat collecting feminists (aka female incels - which are orders of magnitude crazier than male ones).

His thread is very revealing to me. I fear we are completely f***ed.

I was dismayed by the amount of deranged females going to bat for Lindsay and having zero sympathy for the husband, whose children were brutally murdered while he was running errands for his crazy wife. With many even blaming him.

But to see this from fellow male conservatives on Texags...we are cooked as a culture and society, it's just a matter of time. To be honest, we may deserve to collapse...when supposedly conservative, God fearing males start adopting such a skewed version of justice, and start blaming or shaming the ultimate victim, who had to juggle job, three children and a wife who was constantly bouncing from therapist to therapist and doctor to doctor...hard reset may be needed.

I don't blame God one bit if he decides to heap fire and brimstone upon us.
