You're probably right. But even if it moves to, say, October, I really don't see that as a huge deal. Unless things get really, really bad again - like, borderline uncontrollable - I still say we have new movies by Labor Day weekend at the latest (with A Quiet Place Part II), which isn't that far away, all things considered. I like what Muck mentioned earlier... just show classics for the rest of the summer, with smaller crowds, give people something to do, etc, and then let's get going with new movies on Labor Day Weekend, hopefully after this wave has died down a bit, the heat has really kicked, etc.

In the meantime, WEAR MASKS. We know more than ever now, and every expert is saying masks are the key to getting back to as "normal" as can be before we have a vaccine. Enough people wear them in public, we can potentially even get the R0 below 1, and the virus doesn't transfer to hosts fast enough to continue spreading. It's that simple. You wanna see Tenet before the end of the year? Be like Tenet and a wear a mask...

The issue with that is there's no way that's profitable. It probably loses them more money than just staying closed completely.

From the article. He's the leader Hollywood needs. And at some point he needs allies to commit fully to making that date work. I will wear a damn face covering and commit to seeing it a minimum of 3x in theaters if they just stick to 8/12.

The Chinese version is only 1:14:59.5 because they'll cut out the entire second half of the movie which is just the first half played backwards
