Honestly, surprise spurs was in this game. Would have like Patty to bring the ball to half court then pass it to Derozan but Demar turns it over which led to the kawhi dunk and win.

I think we should revamp the whole organization. Let pop retire bring in new fresh blood all around. Something needs to change

Please stop with this garbage after every game. There's a tremendous upside on this roster right now. Yeah, it's not perfect today but the plan looks pretty damn good. Why blow up something on the upswing?

What do you think they are doing now? These are growing pains. It might be hard to believe, but I'd wager that Pop and RC have a better sense of a long term plan than you do. He's more patient than the average GM. A new regime? Why the hell would anyone think that's a good idea?

The upside is there for sure but I wouldn't say it's tremendous. I don't think the ceiling for a team led by DeRozan and LMA is all that high. This is just not a team of players that has the ability to play defense.

I disagree. There's a lot of young talent here. Walker and DJ being two key pieces who haven't played at all this year. The defensive potential of those two is tremendous and White is also an excellent all around player. Add in Poeltl and Bertans and these are all very good players who are still young. Then remember we have 2 picks this year in the first round.
I dont see anything but a bright future to be had without tanking or switching coaches.

If you're opinion is you cant win a championship with these two as your center pieces then I mostly agree. However, I disagree that the way to get there is dump these guys and play all young guys. The developing talent can learn from these guys. Derek White will be a better player in year 4 after having played with LMA and DD early in his career.
This team going to ever fully tank and shoot for high picks. The only time they did it was when the whole starting lineup got injured.
Really don't understand the "Blow Everything Up" crowd. This team is flawed but hell most teams are. We are fighting for a playoff spot, grinding through the season, dealing with injuries, developing players. This is life in the NBA for most teams.

Yeah it's a strategy that can kill a franchise. If you have some good players who can keep your culture going then you have to do it. Meanwhile, continue to develop the young guys. Maybe one turns into a star like Kawhi did. Or maybe one turns into a nice trade piece like George Hill who you trade for Kawhi and Bertans. The reality is the Spurs do a better job of developing than 90% of the league.Malcolm52 said:

Spurs best case realistically is the 7th seed to hopefully avoid GSW in the first round. They have 12 home games and 8 road games remaining with the 18th toughest schedule. It's possible if they remain sharp at home. But I'm not holding my breath.
It's really incredible how much better most teams play at home. Historically in the Pop era they've been a great road team. But something flipped a few years ago. Now they are an exceptional home team and dreadful on the road. It's been like this a couple years now. They literally have the second best home record in the west right now despite being in the 8th spot.

I don't think he should be playing but it's kind of a bummer to see Gasol on the bench for the entirety of all of these games. It's probably not how he envisioned winding down his career. It just goes to show what Manu and Tim did is really rare. They were huge contributors until the end. In any event, the spurs will definitely stretch his contract this offseason.
