Fans will definitely boo. Players will be civil and walk to him after the game if he doesn't leave by himself first.

From ESPN and I'm paraphrasing:

According to sources the spurs have put together multiple tribute videos for green and kawhi to celebrate their contributions to the organization. But the spurs are considering not running it if they expect an overly negative reaction from the fans towards kawhi.

I'm so sick and tired of this strong desire for the fans to somehow be cordial to the guy for this game.

Look, I get it, I'm not in the locker room, I don't have to deal with the things these guys deal with, so I'm happy that they seem to, at least, tolerate how Kawhi left and handled everything. But as fans, we got absolutely nothing. The only things we got were leaks by both sides. And from Kawhi's side of the story, trashing the franchise we know and love.

And we loved Kawhi as fans. We feel betrayed. I guess I get that these players somehow think that because they're doing what they think is best for them that they owe us nothing...and ultimately they probably don't...but they need to try and walk a moment in our shoes from our side of the curtain. When you feel the devotion many people feel towards a team or a player from the outside, damn right you'll feel betrayed when things go down the way they did with Kawhi last year. Like many others I'll reiterate - it's not THAT he left, it's HOW he left. If he left in free agency, yeah, I'd be upset, but I wouldn't feel as intensely about the whole thing as I do now.

And, again, as a fan, him not showing up on the bench for the playoffs, especially when Pop's wife passed away and what was likely Manu's last season, I will never forgive him for that, and for that alone, I would boo if I was going. And I don't want to see a freaking tribute video THIS season after all that happened. For Danny? Sure. For Kawhi, next year? Fine. But not this year, and not this meeting.

The organization needs to understand that while they may have a better idea of what happened, until they tell us fans, we only have what we saw. And what we saw was a lot of BS last year.

Why wouldn't the fans have a negative reaction? It wasn't like he played out the season and decided somewhere else was best for his family. He literally quit on the team and city then hid from the GM and coach who groomed him.

To add on. It has always surprised me that Green didn't show any resentment. He was under a coach who respected him and playing in front of fans that loved him on a team that brought him in from the D league. But because a guy pouted and refused to man up and discuss the situation with his coach he had to be included in being shipped to another country.

Because Green is a professional and he acted the way a professional should act. He was a class act while he was in SA and he continues to be one in Toronto.

Lots of boos any time he shot in warm ups. Fairly tame so far. I'm near their bench and they have extra security today compared to normal. Will post anything noteworthy I see.

Shaq sounds like an idiot in the pre game, of course he was booed all the time in SA also

I love how none of the former players mention how he quit on the team. If Kobe would have sat out a year in protest while Shaq was in LA he wouldn't have said "the fans should be grateful for what he gave them".

Other than booing him every time he touches the ball nothing crazy. It's like a playoff game though as far as the atmosphere. Best game I've been to so far this year as far as energy in the building.

Lot of love for Danny every time he touches it. The raptors were laughing about it in warmups.

Toronto waking up a bit here in the second. Finally hitting back.

Chris Webber is an idiot (captain obvious). Saying kawhi being booed because he's a great player. Completely ignoring all of the ridiculousness from last year. Spurs fans usually greet former players very warmly, but there's a much bigger reason they chanted traitor at kawhi.

Wonder who is saltier about tonight's outcome. Uncle Dennis or Chris Webber.

Webber sounded like he was Kawhi's publicist the whole game, making excuses for him. Pathetic.

Derozan drops a triple double on his former team. 3 point shooting was outstanding, particularly Forbes. Ball movement was fantastic with 32 assists tonight. And on top of everything else, we got to see Lonnie Walker knock down a deep 3.

Awesome game. When they are at home the Spurs can play with anybody. The youngsters have to learn to play on the road but I love the way this team is playing.

Another blowout win for 4 in a row. Since December 1st the spurs have had the #1 offense and #5 defense in the NBA.

Now we just need to do this on the road.

The defense is what has been the most encouraging to me. No Kawhi, Danny Green, or Murray who have all made all defensive teams in the last couple years and we're finally finding a way to get stops and cause people problems. Very much a team effort considering how much Derozan, Mills, and Forbes play and how bad they all are on that end.

By the way, in case yall missed this the other night. Kevin Durant was not calle out of bounds on this play. I don't know how they miss calls like this.

That was a good one. A win on the road without Rudy.
These next 3 games will be interesting. On the road against Memphis, back home to play the Thunder in the 2nd half of a back to back and the go to OKC to play the Thunder again.

Pretty nice win on the road. Detroit came out playing with a lot of energy and Blake was basically scoring at will. The Spurs just turned on the juice and controlled the last 3 quarters.
