Commentators said that Spurs are 7-0 when up at halftime. Really telling statistic there about getting the O going.

Lamarcus became the all time scoring leader for NBA players born in Texas tonight. Passed Chris Bosh, Grant Hill is 3rd. Not bad company there.
Not a bad effort against the second best team in the league. I think this team is going to be hovering around .500 all season though unfortunately.

The West is insane. The only team not at least hovering around .500 is Phoenix at 4-17. It'll be interesting to see how many teams win 50 games. Could be a lot in the high 40s.
This season reminds us what it is like to be a fan of all NBA teams except the Spurs. Since 1989-90 the Spurs have had one losing season and that is the only time they haven't made the playoffs during that time. They have had only 3 seasons with less than 50 wins during that span. Every NBA team has had multiple losing seasons in that time period. The mighty Warriors had a losing season as recently as 2011.
As I and others have said we are very spoiled as Spurs fans. We have enjoyed unprecedented success for our team. Now for once we have to go through a rebuilding period like all other teams and it doesn't feel good.

To me they aren't playing with any fire or urgency. Zero effort. That's a coaching thing.

The Spurs are missing Green and Anderson more than I imagined. I wonder if those same moves are made if they knew Manu was retiring. Kawhi was unavoidable but these defensive vets who set the tone are really missed.
What's also crazy is the recent spiral coincides with Pau going down. His leadership might be underrated by us fans. Hopefully he gets healthy at some point and hopefully Walker gets on the court soon and provides some energy.
