For those that have Directv, NBA League Pass is free until Oct. 23. Channel starts on 750 and up. I was watching some of the Hornets games for Parker and Raptors for Leonard and Green.
The defense struggled a bit as expected. We're rolling out Mills and Forbes at the guard positions. They try hard but get overmatched at times.

Kawhi is an enigma. He's a beast of a player. I watched that game last night and it makes me sad more than anything. Hes so efficient and over powering. Whats hard to get over is he fits so perfectly in SA and SA made him what he is. Hes owes Pop and yet he stabbed him in the back. I truly hope he stays in Toronto now so we dont have to see him much.

It's still the weirdest thing seeing Kawhi and Danny in a different uniform. It's tough to swallow that we lost two great starters. I'm glad we have DeMar; it's the best we could have done, but Kawhi is on a different planet as a player. Adding Danny (who's been shooting the ball lights out) just makes it worse.
Even though I think Kawhi is a POS, I still find myself rooting for them and will probably continue to watch Raptors games all season.

Yea that bench is pretty pathetic. Patty Mills may be be the heart and soul of this team but it sure doesn't translate to his play on the court.
Patty can't guard anyone in this league. He wouldn't even be picked up on a two-way contract if he was coming out of the D-League. Pop needs to consider not playing him or at least not as much. Teams just repeatedly go at him. And it's not like he makes up for it at the other end.

Our perimeter defense is really bad. Not having Murray and White certainly doesn't help, but playing two bigs in this even faster paced league is just not a good recipe imo. Portland was letting it fly tonight from 3 from pretty much every player they put on the floor. Makes it hard for guys like Pau or even Poeltl to hide.
Really impressed with Derozan (shocker, since he's an all NBA player). His play making skills are a lot better than what I anticipated. 9 assists tonight, he's not just a guy that creates for himself.
We shot 13-30 from 3 43%. Our spacing is light years better than it was last year. Scoring isn't our problem.

Pop definitely went with two bigs a lot last night. Although I'm not sure it would matter. Portland might compete with GSW for best offense in the league. We really need White and Walker back to see if having some size in the backcourt will help.
