I feel like being able to sign Mbah a Moute for the minimum is YUGE. Great defender and seemingly overrated reputation for not being a good shooter (his raw shooting stats look fine to me).

Tillman's NW is ~3B and a lot of that is wrapped in his businesses. I doubt he is buying them outright. Maybe a percentage. Unless Les wants to own the Aquarium.

I think Fertitta is in play. Would not be surprised if an active player buys into "Clutch City Sports & Entertainment" as well. That's an interesting little loophole here. Not majority ownership but a minority ownership portion.

Tilman has that off-the-books mob money tho
Pretty sure Jimmy the Gent will make sure your body is never found if you use off-books mob money to buy something as public as an NBA franchise.

James should restructure that $228-million contract and invest it into just purchasing a portion of the team. Then become the first owner to ever play for his team

Not legal by NBA rules. Michael Jordan owned part of the Wizards and had to sell before he suited up for them in 2001.
