The only argument would be fit, but that doesn't worry me. Anderson knows his role on this team. Space the floor and wait for the kickout at the three. Will Melo accept a different role in Houston? Based on his eagerness to be traded here I would imagine so. Clearly his skill set is superior to Anderson.
I'm not worried about melo's fit here. If he wants to make it work, he'll make it work. Plus he's pushing so hard to come here that I'm sure he'll do anything to win.

If Morey was not only able to convince a third team to be part of this trade but also convinced that third team to make a trade of their own in order to be part of the trade, then he should be knighted.

There is no doubt that Melo is incredibly skilled, way more skilled than Anderson. However watching highlights will tell you very little about the most important variable. Melo has many traits in common with Dwight: selfish, coach killer, loves iso/post play. Simply put, they have a substantial track record of being a bad teammate.
When Dwight came here we heard similar stories about how he would adjust, but nothing changed. Hopefully CP3 can help with the adjustment, but nothing is given. Just ask George Karl, Phil Jackson or even Pringles.
I think Melo for Anderson is a worthy gamble, but it is far from a slam dunk win.

I think you may be forgetting how bad Anderson was once he wasn't completely healthy. At times in both playoff series, he couldn't get on the floor because he couldn't defend, rebound, or move enough to get open.
The difference is when Melo comes here he understands he will be scoring option 3 or 4 vs Dwight and previous Melo still wanting to be #1 option.
Yea Matt Thomas was talking about him on 790 today. Might end up being a great troll job when all is said and done....

An unhealthy Melo will be the exact same player.
