Welp. Can't win'em all. Onto the next season.
What I would be worried about is a continued Trevor Ariza decline. That may be offset by Trevor Ariza in a Contract Year, though. He breaks the 1000 total NBA game plateau next year. If you can upgrade SF, you have to do it. Ariza would probably shoot a lot better as a backup with less demands on minutes.Forum Troll said:
I think they should bring back Nene, add 1 more big to the rotation and make another run with this current group. They won 55 games their first season with MDA. Give it some time.
Legit concern. He plays a ton of minutes. Who is out there except for Hayward?Guitarsoup said:What I would be worried about is a continued Trevor Ariza decline. Boston has the coach (Brad Stevens) who coached Hayward at Butler when they made those impressive runs to the NCAA title game.Guitarsoup said:
Hayward would be perfect, but I think he either stays or goes to Boston. White guy in Boston averaging 20ppg? He'd be a god.
But is also a restricted FA. I know DM can do some crazy offer to hit the Wizards cap hard, but I just don't see the Wizards not matching a reasonable offer for Porter.Guitarsoup said:
I'd roll the dice with Otto Porter. Guy hit 43% of his threes and is 23.
I totally missed that. Yeah, I'd assume they would try hard to keep him.Iowaggie said:But is also a restricted FA. I know DM can do some crazy offer to hit the Wizards cap hard, but I just don't see the Wizards not matching a reasonable offer for Porter.Guitarsoup said:

Agree on Ariza.NickNaylor said:
Ariza sucks and we should upgrade SF. Ryan Anderson is what he is. He isn't going to turn in to Rodman on the glass.
I also don't think Ariza sucks, although he's showing his age. If we could somehow upgrade his position and keep him to come off the bench that would be awesome.CFTXAG10 said:
My only issue with Ariza has been and continues to be how streaky of a shooter he is. Still a pretty damn good defender and he brings a Veteran presence to the locker room. Agree though that if they can upgrade the position you go for it and have Ariza come off the bench.
On one hand, I'm 99% sure this didn't happen. On the other, if it did then maybe Harden really does have a killer instinct.cr0wbar said:
Is this the thread where we point out Harden is being sued by Moses Malone Jr for an alleged robbery?

I see one of Ariza or Anderson not coming back next year. Also don't think Nene will be back. He earned himself a raise and not sure if we are willing to pay that.
