Thanks, carpe. Their online menu shows a much broader selection then their paper to-go menu. I'm happy they kept more of the Mexico food.

Went once to Imperial and while the atmosphere was nice, the food was terrible. Not surprised they've seen their end.

Who was it that predicted that restaurants that suck up to Greg end up going under?
I agree with halibut. The location is fine...I'm not sure what the right kind of restaurant to move in there would be though.

Maybe the next one to go into the the Romas/Imperial space (or any space for that matter) should consider not spending tons of dough on a remodel and putting the business behind the 8-ball from the get go. I know an owner wants to make the space their own, but that kind of remodel can run into the tens of thousands of $$.
Oh, good food/price relationship, appropriately paced service, and not opening before they're really ready would help as well.

Inperial is delicious. I don't eat Sushi.
Imperial is still open. I called.

The Imperial is pretty darn good. Better lunch prices than Naked Fish (favorite) and Atami.
