The Rhino mount has started....it has taken 6 months just to get a form (not an easy form to find these days). The Croc is completed and looks amazing.

The items from Namibia (Kudu mount, elephant tusks) will be shipping here in the next two weeks...the cast of the elephant tusks to use in the wall mount will be coming with the tusks.

Congrats, dude. You did well. These are amazing and look great on your bar. Like the rest of us, I can't wait to see the rest of the mounts get posted as they come in.

What an awesome trophy room.

Can we get a picture of the booze on the bar? From earlier in thread we already know there is a bottle of Double Eagle Very Rare, I'm sure there are some epic bottles to complement the mounts.

The pith helmet lights were fun to build. We bought the helmets, brackets and fixtures and it took forever to align the chords to where they all hung straight. A custom build for sure and a lot of fun to do.

Ms Pacman is for my wife...she's a fiend at that game

It's all done already. The import company emailed me all the forms weeks ago when they accepted the crate in South Africa and I sent them back same day.

Very chill. With five of my best buddies. All have been before and a few have already taken all the major species. We have Two buffs but not sure who will take. I'm just thinking zebra, waterbuck, Impala, warthog, and maybe another kudu if if I see a monster - and this place has a ton of Kudu

Matetsi 1 is the concession.

Nesbitt Hunting is the operator. This is an Aggie controlled concession - hence the flags

Had a 5.6 mile hike this morning up the Matetsi River- movement was slow as the wind is howling as a cool front came in over night. Had a zebra stalk but no stallion spotted. On the way back to camp our scouts saw a good bushbuck. We went in after it but could not find it again. Scout walked up and looked over the hill and spotted this Duiker. He wasn't on the hi list but the PH liked him and the little guy unfortunately was in the wrong place at the wrong time. My first of the "Tiny Ten"

Another buddy got a nice Cape buffalo this morning. Hopefully I'll get a picture than at the skinning shed

Setting our alarms for 1:30am to watch the Aggies

Watched the Aggies from 1:30 to almost 5:30 am. Grabbed a couple of hours then headed out. Tough day. We saw a ton of game but came short. Had Eland stalks, multiple Impala stalks. Warthog stalks and I had an entire evening of stalking a herd of Zebra, but a random Kudu bachelor group got between us and the. Zebras and screwed everything up for us. But some of our other guys had better luck. Tomorrow is a full day of hunting then we are going to leave our fantastic camp to rough it one night doing a "fly camp" in the bush. Tents, cots, laterns, fire pit, and lions on the perimeter (potentially). Should be good fun and hopefully it doesn't get "hectic" as the Zim PH's love to say.

I love that last pic. Believe it or not, you can bumble into a herd of giraffes. I was on foot glassing for a wounded wildebeest one of our group had shot, I was looking one way coming on to a high clearing, stepped out of the brush and was darn near surrounded. They could have stomped me into a little grease spot, but were more like "What's up B-1?" I did t hang around long………

Lots of activity and kills the last few days. Got my two targeted animals - waterbuck and zebra

We had another buff go in the salt. Tomorrow we break camp and head to Vic Falls for a booze cruise on the Zambezi river

Incredible Buffalo!!! Was the hunt hard / dangerous for it? It's on my list still. Great zebra and waterbuck. Now you need a mountain zebra to go with the plains zebra

I wasn't on any of the buff hunts, but I've been on two in my life. Both were one shot kills with double rifles at 30 yards or less - so being that close has some element of danger. All these were shot with scopes - kills of one , two and four shots. Follow ups can be dangerous but in these hunts they were not. Our PH's were talking the other night about one of their good friend (PH) who got killed a week ago by a Cape buffalo on a follow-up

In all seriousness- just an idea - what do you think about hosting a charity event there for your favorite charity, and we could each put in like $300-$500 bucks to the charity, and the charity could cover good catering and drinks provided, and we stay at hotels nearby after?
There could be a vetting process if you wanted. Keeping the headcount capped at 20-30 people may make sense too.

I've gotten involved on the planning side of several charity events over the past few years and they make great reasons for people to come together and have fun for a good cause.
