My posting history would show that I have been a defender of the prequels, and that as a Star Wars nut since age 10, that I actually HATE one Star Wars movie, that being The Last Jedi.DallasTeleAg said:

At least, with all the bad we got from Disney, we did get Rogue One... so not all lost.
But, The Last Jedi does have that awesome sequence where purple hair admiral lady took her starship into hyperspace to ram the First Order command ship. The killing of Snoke and the resulting duel between Kylo Ren, Rey, and the guards was pretty nice, and I believe all of that coincided at about the same time in the movie.
The Rise of Skywalker features a good fight between Ren and Rey aboard the remains of Death Star II in a roiling ocean, which was visually a good sequence but that part also shined with its sound effects. And if it did not hit you in the feels when Chewie learned of Leia's passing, then you have no soul.
I'd rank the sequel trilogy as the worst 3 of all of these movies, with the possible exception of swapping The Force Awakens for Attack of the Clones. And Rogue One as #3 behind The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars.
Justifiably so, and I have a kid who doesn't even like Star Wars, but worships everything Rey. Will watch the sequels just to see Rey be tough, and get back up when she's knocked down, and loves how she heals the snake, talks to kids, and takes care of BB8Brian Earl Spilner said:

I really like the cast. EM was absolutely the best thing in the prequel trilogy. Hayden Christiansen was dealt a bad hand because of mostly terrible writing, so the jury will be out on him (for me) until we see what his role encompasses.
Super glad that Owen and Baru are back by the same actors because they were throwaway characters in the prequels.
I have never seen Rebels so am unfamiliar with the crossover characters but open minded.

There is nothing about the fights in those movies that outweigh any of the fights in the other movies.

Most of my memorable scenes are more visual in nature, as most of the story was subpar in my opinion (or I just didnt like it otherwise).

The X-Wings in Ep 7 (specifically flying in tight forrmation low to the water, and then the camera pans to show the flight of tie fighters they are about to engage)

The semi submerged death star with the waves rolling over it
The wrecked star destroyer in the desert
A few others that I can't think of right now I'm sure

Might be the coolest, most star wars scene of the whole movie. Felt like a scene right out of the Rogue Squadron books
Poe is literally the only new character that I actually liked and had any investment in. As I've said earlier, that entire scene from seeing the X-wings come in low over the lake to the end of the scene, is my favorite in the movie.
However... I've played Rogue Squadrons... there is NO way he got through that many deflector shields in that amount of hits!

ROTJ, I've always loved Luke wrecking shop on Jabba's crew. I remember imagining myself pulling off Luke's spring move from the pool's high dive and how the hot female life guard 8 years older than me would love it. Well, that was fun...

Watching Adam Project, and anyone else think the kid playing young Ryan Reynolds seems like he'd be a good young Luke? Maybe the similar haircut helps.

It's been HEAVILY implied, if not officially confirmed by the powers that be, that Obi-Wan and Vader fight again in this series. Considering that fact, how, exactly, does it break canon?

Nobody. But I always presumed the line in ANH to point back to the Clone Wars period. Over all the years as a kid, when I'd think of how the Clone Wars might have looked, and when I gave any thought to what Obi-Wan Kenobi was doing all those years on Tatooine, the only thing I really ever came up with was watching over Luke. This heavily implies that Obi-Won outright wins the match like he does at Mustafar. If they have an encounter it will have to be a decisive victory again in Obi-Won's favor so that the statement still makes sense. Part of Vader's persona is that he's seeking revenge and a rematch on Obi-Won for his defeat on Mustafar, he dwells on that fight constantly since he even made the site of the duel his home base. If there's another fight it diminishes the fight that led his true transformation into Vader. Mustafar wasn't A fight, it was THE fight. "we meet at last." makes it seem like this isn't just the next rematch.
After some research it looks like this fight is happening but it's still disappointing. There are ways to handle their rivalry vs an outright fight. Honestly I thought a PTSD and guilt driven Obi-Won plagued by nightmares and force visions would have been the best way to handle it. Along with several extremely close misses where they narrowly avoid each other.
Why are we using spoiler tags here anyway?
