We honestly had a solid Obi-Wan treatment going.
people that grew up with SW really love the universe and want it to be good. and it is almost impossible to make it not good....
but they are managing.
but it's like a trainwreck - you hope they make it but even if it is **** it is hard to take your eyes away.
i will say, it is so bad, i dont know that i am going to bother watching any more of these though.

This series makes the Book of Boba Fett seem like the pinnacle of everything TV has to offer.
Reva is terrible.
The whole interrogating a ten year old was stupid.
Staring contest.
Tala taps a ST on the head and he acts like he got hit by a truck.
Reva running basically in slo mo during the fight (why can no one run at a normal speed in this show)?
The whole call me sir thing was weird, just use ma'am and be done with it.
The get him out of here, "but we have to help her", completely talks himself into a 180 to assist Kenobi in thirty seconds.

You are in a very, very small minority my friend. I honestly have not heard of one critic, person on a message board, or actual friend/family member state that they are thoroughly enjoying this show. I think everyone can agree that the overwhelming majority of the audience has been disappointed to various degrees.
In Star Wars it's always Sir. Officer gender doesn't matter.

Okay didn't know that. I'm admittedly a pretty casual SW fan. Which kinda sucks because the universe and characters are really interesting.
So when it's good like the Mandolorian I'm really into it. I just don't care enough about SW as a whole to watch it when it's bad TV.

- Vader scenes are cool but letting Obiwan go makes absolutely zero sense. None. He wouldn't care about anything else but Kenobi

When Vader senses Ahsoka in Rebels, he talks to Palps shortly after and the first thing he considers is that she could lead them to Kenobi. It is crazy that he would even consider letting him get away.

Starting at the 5:09 mark, a pretty good, 20-minute-or-so conversation about the look of the show, that puts into words things I haven't been quite able to express. Basically, one guy (Matt) feels the way I do (and is maybe even more exasperated than I am), while the other guy (Dave) isn't really bothered by the look, and pushes back a bit. Nothing groundbreaking, just a solid, thorough discussion in regards to how these shows look/are made…

It's not just this show, it's almost all shows and films. Tom Cruise is the only actor alive that knows how to run convincingly.Quote:

I'm enjoying it. I agree with some of the criticism but it's not enough to detract. Of course, I was hoping for the greatest tv show of all time. Nope. But it's fun to watch.
Tala barely touching two storm troopers to take them out was terrible. Just awful. They have to realize that and reshoot or rewrite. Do something. Laziness more than anything.
Reva could be an interesting character. She's just a subpar actress, very stiff.
Disney clearly has more input from accountants rather than creative people. Instead of taking more time or spending more money, they've gone cheap. It shows up in the backgrounds and sets. Another issue I would put in the 'not as good as it should be, but good enough' category.

I don't think it is all her fault as an actress. She is given very little to work with.
I think if we couldn't get Lawrence of Mos Arabia, the next best thing they should have done is some Inquisitor kills Kenobi's dog, bringing him out of retirement.

I think they needed some Darth Maul looking dude to play the Reva role. Play it creepy but with more dialogue than Maul, but not a straight up human. But not cheesy creepy like the Inquisitor that was recast from Big Trouble in Little China
It's so terrible. The Obi Wan, Vader angle had all the raw makings for someone to do something amazing with it. Instead it's like a class group assignment to make a video where everyone on the group would rather go get drunk but make the video anyway because they have to for a grade.
Big Trouble in Little China! That's what that dude reminded me of and I couldn't figure it out until you said it!
Obi-Wan vs. Vader should have been what all of this is building toward, for the first time, in episode five or six. They could have easily still shown Obi-Wan's rustiness via a fight with Reva, and Reva could have even kicked his ass just the same as Vader, in the wake of Obi-Wan's shock at the news that Anakin is still alive, etc. It would have given us nearly the exact same result emotionally, only they wouldn't have already blown their wad on a sh*tty Obi-Wan/Vader half-showdown. Instead, there should have been this inevitability through the series that these two were finally going to square off again, cutting back and forth between their two stories, and then we would have been so primed and ready for it. Now? I could not care less, and the whole thing just feels like an afterthought.
They could land a 2nd duel between the two and it be great...

Finally, in his rage at their incompetence, Vader pulls a Thanos and says he'll do it himself.

Bingo. Exactly. Seems like such a no-brainer to do it that way.

Just got off a conference call with my dad, brother daughter, best friend, and his son to let them all know what idiots they are for enjoying the show. Of course none of them use Twitter or post on message boards so they weren't aware of it.

IDK, the Inquisitors ask a lot of important questions.
The Big Trouble in Little China brings up another point. Why is BTiLC guy is pale like the grand inquisitor. The other female inquisitor is somewhat pale as well (and I can't tell on my tablet whether she has a braid or is a Twi'lek with short head tails; is there a term for the head tails?). Then there's Reva whom others have mentioned her skin tone. Why was it so poorly thought out to make her an obvious outlier? This doesn't seem to be tailored to appeal to the Asian market. What were they thinking?
