When Obi Wan is near defeat, Ghosty Qui Gon will show up, tell him to draw from the living Force and in mere seconds, Kenobi becomes the equal of Vader. Damages Vader's helmet giving him the scar seen in ROTJ, but not seen so far in this series. Obi Wan escapes and when he returns to Tatooine, he'll don the Jedi robes again and goes back to monitoring Luke from across the Dune Sea.

It'd be funny if Kenobi has a flashback to every Ani meme, and then laughs and says I can take this ***** and then kicks his ass.
What will really be funny is in the next fight, Vader get the High Ground and Obi Wan takes him anyway because he underestimated his power..

Where is this going? Maybe its just me being a 52 year old man, but something feels wrong about this show. They're screwing around with canon in ways that don't make sense. Unless maybe this is the intro to the Star Wars multiverse or everybody has their memory wiped at the end of the show.
Why have Kenobi and Vader battle between ROTS and ANH? You know they both survive. And, it screws up the dialogue in one of the most iconic scenes in film history; when they meet on the Death Star.
But, that's not the worst of it (so far). Leia and Kenobi hanging out is damn near sacrilege. In ANH she says "General Kenobi, years ago you served my father during the Clone Wars". In light of what we've seen, why would she say that? Instead she'd say; "Ben, remember me? You saved my waddling ass when I fell off a building about 8 years ago". Or, she'd think twice about leaving the fate of the Rebellion in the hands of a shaky old man who called her Leia in front of the stormtroopers.
I really think we're getting some kind of Multiverse setup. They've got to be screwing this up on purpose. It would have been so easy to write a really great story with a PTSD out-of-shape Kenobi living in isolation and facing off against Maul. Without complicating the relationship to The Movie this is all based on.

A lot will have to happen in the next 3 episodes to smooth the transition of basically everything you mentioned and have everything in A New Hope make sense

I mean the dialogue in ANH has been screwed for a while now. But it doesn't necessarily mess up the Vader/Obi Wan dialogue if we assume Obi Wan is going to win their next encounter.
The dialogue in all these Disney+ SW shows is terrible. I've rationalized it by imagining these shows are us listening in on middle-school children in the future doing oral book reports.

Maybe, but I don't think "When I left you, I was but the learner, now I am the master" will ever make total sense no matter what happens in this series. If ANH was actually made after what we saw in ROTS, that line would have been written and delivered completely differently and I don't think this series is going to attempt to retcon that.Brian Earl Spilner said:

He's got a hell of a lot of ground to cover in three episodes as far as shaking off the rust.
I'm not sure either of them will "win." I just have to imagine they've come up with a satisfying way for their final duel to end, considering we know neither of them dies. Feels like Reva is going to be involved, but for that to land emotionally, they better start really building out her backstory in Ep4/5 (and is that what we want in an Obi Wan series?). My hope is that Qui-Gon plays more of a meaningful role than just Force Ghost Trainer, but we'll see...

I mean Obi Wan could hit him with a "you still have a lot to learn Anakin" after the fight and it would still make sense assuming he wins.

Totally, which is why I suspect that's what it will be. But zooming out, is a random Inquisitor we just met really going to be the central figure in the Obi Wan / Vader rematch? It looks like it's setting up that way, which is why they have some work to do to make it land emotionally.
And Leia is going to turn her to the good side

I think in the final fight, Reva will try to intervene to help Vader, and for that, he will kill her immediately. He wants a clean win.

its pretty insane that earlier today i watched Obi wan fight Darth Vader for the first time in like 20 years and it was so mediocre that right now i have absolutely no memory of it. in fact all i can really remember about the entire episode is the dude with the catfish lips
