Owen's last name is Lars

Rogue One in my mind wasn't meant for mass appeal. The rest of the recent SW films are which is why they fail on a fundamental plot stand point. Mass appeal and money will unfortunately only give us a sub .200 batting average when it comes to decent SW movies and TV.
I often use my kids as barometers on evaluating certain entertainment media. Both are boys ages 13 and 16. Both of them were definitely interested in seeing Kenobi. Quick overview of their response so far.Fear InoculAg said:
This show is pretty ****ty honestly. The whole concept of having a 10 year old Leia being kidnapped is just really stupid. Yet another horrendous wasted opportunity. Who is writing all of this dumb **** and who is evaluating it and being like "yeah, that sounds great. Green light"? Boba Fett was terrible. This one is terrible. The entire new trilogy was terrible.

Have it to where no one (even inquisitors) knows vaders real name.
She's already met Owen, I can't remember if he said his last name or not. If not add it in.
They know that Vader wants obi Wan, but they just figure it's bc he and Yoda are the only living members of the jedi council.
In the 3rd episode when Vader shows up, obi Wan sees this bad ass sith lord but doesn't know its anakin. During their fight, Vader mentions how rusty obi Wan has gotten since he quartered him and left him to die. Obi Wan then has the flashback to anakin crying in the lava, and says "Anakin....skywalker?" third sister is listening from the shadows and realizes the possible connection to Owen, but she recapture Leia, so puts it off for later.
After they escape again in episode 4, you can have 3rd sister go rogue and return to tatooine where the final showdown is over Luke. She doesn't tell anyone else where she is going, so when obi Wan eventually kills her, Luke's secret is still safe from the empire.
For this to work though, Luke would have to be unconscious, in Carbonite, or have his memory force-wiped, so he doesn't remember it in episode 4.

Anyone else find the Fifth Brother's whisper growling really irritating?

Ok, but what's that got to do with the growling voice?
I don't think that's accurate; they seem to be much more in pursuit of younger female viewers since 2015.Urban Ag said:
This is what I don't get. This is their key demographic.
Where did I say that it did?Urban Ag said:
"In pursuit" does not mean winning over.
Im not sure what the context of your reply isbobinator said:
And the small fact that Obi Wan already knew Anakin was Vader before they even fought in ROTS.

I do like the idea of playing around with obi wan hearing about Vader, and how horrible he is,more. Then having their initial meeting be more impactful as he realizes in the moment that Vader is Anakin
I didn't really give Revenge of the Sith many rewatches, so I guess I forgot about the 'holocam review' where he happens to call him Lord Vader on a recording (GREAT WRITING)bobinator said:Quote:

I'm saying nothing like this could work because Obi Wan has known Vader is Anakin the whole time.
This was part of why I had a hard time with the end of the second episode. I never considered that Obi Wan still had no idea that Vader lived and I'm not sure I like it. You can make it make sense but that means Obi Wan is REALLY not paying any attention to the outside world.
Put his mask on, and then a stunt double can do the fight scenes and they wont suckjr15aggie said:
With regards to Reva... they really should have given her some sort of facial apparatus or something. The best Star Wars villains in the movies or video games have all used masks, cyber enhancements, alien features, etc to help them be more menacing. And it's worked extremely well. Having her be a straight up human with an attitude does absolutely nothing for the character.
Disney going on about the toxic fanbase only highlights their failures. Sorry Disney, but most of us really liked Lando, Rey, Leia, Mace Windu, etc.... it has nothing to do with Reva's gender or skin color.
PS: And while I'm on the subject... if they make more seasons of Boba Fett, have him put his damn mask back on too. Friggin A, he wouldn't just walk around with it tucked under his arm 3/4 of the time!

You're right, the whole plot point makes no sense, but it would have been good if that scene didn't exist in the movies.

This show sucks. And this is how we deal with it, by venting each week. We all wanted it to be great. It isn't.
I'm sorry that rubs you the wrong way.
On the whole, across this forum, I praise all sorts of things, week after week, the second an episode airs/I get home from a movie, just as much as I bash this show... Top Gun: Maverick, We Own This City, Better Call Saul, Minx, Severance, Peacemaker... I could go on and on.
We like what we like. We don't like what we don't like. And that's what this message board is for... expressing both of those opinions, either as a way to process our excitement/appreciation, or as a way to vent when something falls short.
This, unfortunately, is the latter. In pretty tragic fashion, IMO.
