This is my BIG gripe with the series overall (among many gripes). IT DOESN'T NEED TO EXIST AT ALL. It furthers none of the characters. It doesn't shed any light on anything (it essentially can't because then it would screw up the canon). It basically amounts to just playing with toys because they don't have any other Star Wars stories to tell so, why not? It feels like fan fiction.
I think the fact that it was in development for so long also makes me more annoyed. Like....you guys spent YEARS developing this thing...and THIS is the BEST you can do?!?!? Should have pulled the plug.
I know there is a whole page of posts, so this may have been covered.helloimustbegoing said:And LUke was in it for what, 45 seconds to heal up from a Wampa mauling and hypothermia? 15 minutes is an eternity by comparison!Brian Earl Spilner said:
Apparently about 15 minutes.

That's really what this story is about, Vader is bored as hell. That's why he came up with the most wildly convoluted plan in human history to get Obi Wan.
Would be such redemption if Jar Jar is revealed as the true Grand Inquisitor in this finale. The Collective said:
Meesa looking for a friend to make a cameo tomorrow.
I guess maybe Ice Cube's song is the only pilot that can fly it, or knows the route? In that case, the 2nd ship would just have to be a backup ship I guess, and I dont recall it being mentioned or even seeing it earlier in the episode but I could have just overlooked it.bobinator said:
All of that part is fine. I mean it's silly, but c'mon.
My issue is like, didn't the whole plot hinge on them only having one ship? If they had two ships whey couldn't they have just sent everyone else on their way while Obi Wan was doing his Leia rescue mission? Or if they were waiting on them for some reason they still could have sent everyone as soon as they got back.
Yep. In ESB, Yoda, one of the most powerful Jedi of all time, had to really concentrate to lift an X-wing out of the swamp. And Vader can stop a very large ship from taking off. Granted, you could argue he had assistance from gravity...redline248 said:
Disney loves power creep with the force
I'm not excusing it but they made Vader uber powerful in Fallen Jedi and Rebels. I think they must have felt they needed to somehow justify the fear of him even further so they powered him up.DannyDuberstein said:
Or Leia in Rogue One. I have all sorts of issues with Vader using this ability now. The narrow getaway has been a common SW occurrence and this cheapened it. It also left you with "why didn't he just force grab the 2nd ship?" So much dumb in this series so far
