EDIT: Double post.
As long as Vader is still a badass I don't really care.RebAg13 said:
Vader
She's been using the Dark Side of the Force for 10 years, like a Sith. What do Sith do? Wait for the opportunity to turn on those stronger to them and take them out when they least expect it. Based on the context clues, of this and previous episodes, she's never even around Vader - the other Inquisitors show disbelief when she even talks to him along via hologram; getting invited onto his ship is clearly a huge honor for an Inquisitor for a personal audience with him.Brian Earl Spilner said:
Reva...I just don't get. I can buy that she was a Youngling and saw Anakin, but I do not buy that heel turn in a matter of a 30 seconds after a conversation with Obi-Wan. What was her end goal? If she really just wanted revenge against Vader, why was she so set on capturing Obi-Wan? And if her rage was actually towards Obi-Wan, how did she flip on a dime like that? None of her story makes much sense to me.
I'm sorry but that writing was just bad and lazy to me. But I'm genuinely glad you enjoyed the episode, I wish I had.helloimustbegoing said:She's been using the Dark Side of the Force for 10 years, like a Sith. What do Sith do? So she waited for him to no longer be distracted by the escaping transport...
She knows she can't take him 1 to 1 so she needs a scenario where his attention is elsewhere, like when he's got Obi-Wan in his sights. It's basically a carbon copy of the scenario that Kylo Ren uses to off Snoke - Snoke is so distracted by the capture of Rey and being that close to figuring out where Luke is that he doesn't sense Ren's attack coming.
So she attempts exactly that.
She's set on capturing Obi-Wan because that's the key to getting close to Vader and having your shot at him. I'm sure she is angry at Obi-Wan for not being there, but neither were a billion other Jedi, he's just the one she knows is alive and out there.
I'm surprised people think she "turned good" after talking to Obi-Wan. She saw a genuine opportunity to get her revenge and took it, Vader's just too strong. The enemy of my enemy is temporarily my friend.
Your fondest wish, Obi-Wan and Anakin on Coruscant in the Clone Wars era! The needle didn't move at all?Brian Earl Spilner said:

Thanks, I think I'll start posting 20x as much now, just for you!BJM1781 said:
I genuinely enjoy watching you jump through hoops to try and justify the plot of this show. It's actually more entertaining than the show itself.

The more I see of this the more I think it would have been better as an animated show.
Here's the thing about a show like Rebels...powerbelly said:No question.chase128 said:

I am re-watching rebels right now and it is so much better.
