I haven't been by to see if the work has started, but the permitting they pulled indicated it would start this month and wrap up in September.

There had also been talk of P.Terry's and Bojangles.

This article from 2024 mentions that Bojangles came to Lorena. Maybe they will eventually get here.

We are there in Tyler a couple of weeks ago. Excellent food and ritas at very good prices. They were training people up there to work in CS. No word on an opening date.

A refresher for everyone before this devolves:

Ruffino's is the wholesale meat distributor on WJB across from C&J's. The Ruffino family sold it in 2024.

Readfield's is the meat market on Texas Avenue. It was sold by the Ruffino family to Dean and Peeler Meats earlier this year.

Our Church Pantry was buying cases of eggs from them… about a month ago I was told they could no longer deliver to us because the place they were acquiring eggs would no longer sell them any eggs…. My contact at Ruffinos told me they owed the egg company money.

Yes, he's opening that up inside of the new Pickleball facility in front of the Bryan Target. I think Pickleball Junction. He's got that and Rosie's Pasta Bar with us in development at the same time.

No, ruffinos was sold to Dominion Foods Group. Readfields was more recently sold to Dean & Peeler.

Both were previously owned by members of the Ruffino family.
