This is the first time I've preordered a game, especially a special edition, when it wasn't a Saturday night after a few glasses of whiskey. The first game was one of my all time favorite console games as well.

I have one for my X. Works great and it was used.

I highly recommend WD drives because they're reliable. Seagate drives are crap because the they source cheap components.

been debating picking up an xbox one x for forza, then i read that RDR2 will be enhanced on the x. now it seems like i almost have to buy one and it would be stupid not to. right?

I don't have a 4k TV yet but think I'm still gonna grab the X to be ready to make the switch, pretty much just for RDR2.

Have the X and a nice Sony 4k. I can't fully explain why, because it's not this complete night and day difference, but everything looks great on the setup. Old games and especially the new ones just look great. Very happy with it all.

I have an X1X and no 4K TV. No ragrets. The performance difference is real. It's quite noticeable in Rocket League, for one example.

I'm waiting for big (over 65") OLEDs to hit a reasonable price before I upgrade.

We keep our TV in an armoire so getting a 4k TV doesn't even really make sense at a max of about 42".

Same here. I want to eventually get a nice 4K, but I'm enjoying the X1X for the better graphics. Rocket League is much better looking compared to the PS4.

Apparently in the game you have to eat, bathe and keep morale up in the gang and that all things will impact your experience (being dirty may get you kicked out of a store, not having good gang morale means no backup etc...) seems like an interesting approach I hope it doesn't become too complicated but seems like a cool idea.

Welp, can't argue with that logic. Guess I'm picking one up tonight as well.

Picked mine up at lunch today. Transferring everything and taking the S to Gamestop tomorrow at lunch to rering the transaction for the $250 credit.

I picked up nba 2k13 a couple months ago for $1 and it is by far the best dollar i have ever spent. Only makes sense to buy a ps4/RDR2...that plus my $1 investment into nba 2k13 will combine to give me hundreds and hundreds of hours of entertainment. Pennies per hour. What a bargain!

Put my order in online for the $79 version a few nights ago.

On the other hand, you could wait and restart it to play the two in chronological order.

Xbox one x purchased. Replaying rdr with those improvements. Pretty significant.

Was originally gonna pick up a preowned or refurb ps4 and roll that way but theres not much difference in price. May as well just buy the RDR2 bundle right?

The last system I bought was a PS3 and mostly just played RDR, but I'm looking to get back in with the Xbox bundle with the new RDR

Any idea when they'll allow the download to start on pre-orders?

Yeah I've had the placeholders for a while. Wednesday I saw Skyrim updating so I clicked on RDR and it said it had been downloaded already. /shrug

First pre-order for me, as well. Also the first time I've ever purchased a game edition above the basic level (pre-ordered the special edition for this).

Played through RDR 1.5 times, and Undead Nightmare once. LOVED these games.

I've heard/watched so much about RDR2, and the worst anyone can say is that it might be too immersive, which doesn't faze me at all.

I've watched so much that I'm already thinking about what, if any, could be the premise for RDR3. Right now I'd like to see "Red Dead Revolucion", set in a South American country akin to Argentina in the 30's.

Just saw that it is going to be native 4K on Xbox one x. Can't wait.

Downloaded and ready. Just need to finish RE7 first!

Definitely picking it up after I finish AC: Odyssey. One thing I am a bit worried about is that I absolutely hate the controls from most of Rockstar's games.

The controls for GTA3 and 4 were horrible, but I thought RDR's weren't bad.
