I'm late to this party, but I caught up last night and I really liked this show(I've been skeptical regarding Lucasfilms since the Disney acquisition so I wait for consensus/recommendations that I trust first). Given that it's mostly about espionage and wetwork, I thought it was an excellent story and look forward to future seasons hopefully. They need to stick with suspense and thriller aspects of the characters like they did in season 1. Anymore action would have taken away from the story. I liked that they showcased Andor's talent since the funeral procession went exactly the way he wanted, that is he used it as a distraction to save Bix. I also liked that Luthen was playing the long game and not acting on every piece of information that came his way. For those that have seen Imitation Game, they explain in detail on how it is proper spycraft to never let the enemy know that you know what they're up to, the long objective must be considered even if it means lives in the short term. In Luthen's case, the fact that he has a mole in ISB makes the asset invaluable.

Just finished binge watching the series in three days, and then read the thread. Really cannot add anymore than what's been stated, INCREDIBLE show.

I was 7 when ANH was released so grew up with "May the Force be With You". Thought I'd never hear something as moving and meaningful for a show. Then "This is The Way" describes The Mandolorian culture JUST as well. For the origins of the Rebellion and the world of Andor, "One Way Out" is just as perfect. Now until 2024, everyone CLIMB CLIMB CLIMB

Super cool location shots from Andor Season 2 (no spoilers)

The City of Arts and Sciences is on feature in Valencia, which has been used in Westworld previously.

Also doing some shooting at the Castell de Xativa, which the Interent tells me is a centuries' old fortress going back to Iberian/Roman times.

And a heck of scoop from a Spanish website revealing that it appears Benjamin Bratt has been cast in a role for the second season.

That's him in the middle with a bunch of the crew, including director Janus Metz to his left. It makes sense he'd be in it, he had a small but cool role in the original Dr. Strange, another Disney product, and was the voice of Ernesto Del Cruz in Coco in 2017.

Quotes from Diego Luna about enjoying the knowledge that the 2nd season is the end of Andor instead of the common theme with many streaming series of "maybe or maybe not" another season is coming.

"It's been bittersweet because every day I know I'm a day closer to the end. It was really nice to approach a series knowing there's an ending. It doesn't happen! The new conversation on set with streaming is people talking about the possible future… Like, 'Well, there might be a second season or a third season.' This thing of leaving everything open I think is bringing anxiety to actors that needs to be treated. We're all thinking about something that we can't know."

"The second season ends where Rogue One starts. We're not changing the ending of Rogue One so that's it. It's a nice feeling, it's like a long film… It has a beginning and an end. We all know what's going to happen. There's something interesting with the second season, which is that I have a different feeling every day I go to set. Now I know, not just that the series was well received and that people liked it, but I know why they liked it. That's another tool we have these days through social media. We actually listen to audiences and critics. We understand what things connected and what didn't connect. It's kind of cool to have an opportunity to go and execute another season having this information. It's, in a way, a season that will end up representing the audience in a different way. Somehow, the audience is part of this season because the interaction we had served as inspiration."

I think we all know what that last part means:

Disney should offer a fan package as part of their parks fees. For a modest upgrade fee you can be a stormtrooper in a scene. Modest.

British news channel shows Andor getting filmed at the same location they had the Resistance base in The Force Awakens, the old air base.

Also shows an actor playing what appears to be Moroff - the abominable snowman looking guy from Rogue One - in costume.

They made a Star Wars series for adults, one that plays, looks, and sounds better than anything I was expecting, ... The cast, the atmosphere, the dialogue, the cinematography, the score… it all instantly makes for one of my favorite Star Wars things ever, and hardly anything's even happened so far.

I went in to this show completely blind with no expectations. I honestly thought Andor was a place not a person because I'm not a star wars guy and remember basically nothing about rogue one outside of the fact that it exists and I recollect it was a decent flick but standalone in the universe. What you said above is exactly right. I was like "holy **** this isn't for kids!!"

Absolutely loved it and stayed up way too late watching it. Will finish up the series tonight.

My guess is we'll never know for sure where these parts from the prison are going. Goes to show how insignificant the prisoner/workers are. Could be parts for a restroom/refresher facility on Wobani for all we know. There could be hints that these parts are for the Death Star, but Cassian and the gang will never know that because the Alliance never knew about the existence of the Death Star until Galen/Jyn Erso spilled the beans in R1.
What if they are assembling the parts, then they just get disassembled by another floor, and its cycle of futility.
