I just finished and omg what a damned good show. So many guesses in this thread nailed it and so many wildly inaccurate. I love reading the speculation as I go. I'll probably reply to more posts as I make my way through the thread.

Just get your family out of the house and binge it, it's so amazing to watch 1 after the other. I did it about a month ago and it was just gorgeous to stack those episodes.

Binge it before the Aggie game. Seeing imperial jackboots getting beatdown by a funeral brick will get you appropriately pumped for football.

The thought has occurred to me; you can take just about any good/great story and shoe horn it into the SW universe and it will be gold. Way too many times they try to make a good Star Wars story or a good Jedi story and it flops.

Andor could be any Sci Fi series or even future earth dystopian show. But add in the Empire and Star Wars tech and worlds and it's bonkers good.

It's not a work of art, but it's fun. Its box office failed because fans were still so disillusioned after the awful Ep. 8.

It was fun. But it came out 5 months after 8 and everyone was still very pissed about that

I love Luthen's monologue because it really brings the sacrifices of the rebellion home and it's so well stated and delivered, but Maarva's might be my favorite because of the entire scene. The slow build and tension, the imagery in the language and on screen, and then everything finally erupting is probably the best like 5-7 minutes in the entire franchise.

I've noticed after rewatching it that Luthen has a very Palpatine like look to him, as if he's slipping into his own dark side trying to set off this being the scenes revolution the same way Palpatine did, and I think this monologue is what kind of brings him back from the edge and his plan to kill Cassian. You can see it on his face as he comes to the realization that the rebellion is not just his responsibility alone and people are rising up regardless of his efforts, and it's like a weight lifting off of him.

It is incredible how this one scene ties everything in the entire season together so perfectly, and it absolutely delivers on everything that built up to it.
