Probably not important, but we never see where Andor's credits go, right? He didn't have them on him, so I'm assuming he stashed them.

Actually yeah, can see that as well.

That being said, can't wait to see ol Syril in imperial uniform. With his maniac stare, he's the picture perfect face of an officer of the Empire.

There will be times when the struggle seems impossible. I know this already. Alone, unsure, dwarfed by the scale of the enemy.

Remember this. Freedom is a pure idea.

It occurs spontaneously and without instruction. Random acts of insurrection are occurring constantly throughout the galaxy. There are whole armies, battalions that have no idea that they've already enlisted in the cause.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

And remember this. The Imperial need for control is so desperate because it is so unnatural. Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear. Remember that.

And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empires's authority and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege.

Remember this:

Try

That was great. Can't believe we have to wait so long for another season.

Is the ship that Braso, Bix and crew escape on a new design? It looks like a Star Wars version of a rat rod built out of spare parts. Like Pegla just added Y-Wing engines to an old haul he had in the yard.

What a great finale to season one! Through most of the episode I had been kinda dreading Cassian and Luthen meeting again. As with everything else so far, this show stuck the landing!

Also, that manifesto is so ****ing awesome!

Was hoping for an epic space/ground battle with Saw Gerrera.
100% happy with how this played out.

I look forward to her revenge in the future. That creepy doctor is dead meat

The central theme seems to be how the Empire radicalizes people on either side. Worst is yet to come

I like how Luthen's ISB plant was in the room when the imperials talked about how they killed Kreeger and all his fighters. No prisoners. It was a nice touch making him face the consequences of his actions.

The "rebellion" is such a massive underdog that even their wins feel like losses. That theme is continued on Ferrix, where the rioters basically get massacred.

I suspect the ISB plant was a voice for "no prisoners" as well.

I'm ot caught up on the thread but wanted to jump in with the thought while it's fresh that I love the juxtaposition of the manifesto (try) versus the Yoda credo (there is no try). Really speaks to the different approaches and mindsets. To me, "try" is a motto for the powerless.

I think Meero is getting a big time demotion so not sure she is in line to bring anyone on. Another isb officer murdered on her watch, andor got away and imperial troops died.

It goes without saying, but the funeral was so well done. The diegetic music from the band, the holographic speech, the anvil, the buildup, all of it.

The close shots of their instruments were amazing. The whole sequence of the marching band leading up to the riot was just absolute brilliance.

Coming to eat some crow, I was skeptical of how good this show could be and it is by far the best Star Wars fiction made to date across any medium.

A rebellion made up of morally gray people whose vanity, pride, morality and/or desperation are making them fight. Mon Mothma selling out her family for the rebellion is power stuff.

An Empire that is truly terrifying for the first time.

I am still haunted by the line, "I can't swim."

It was such a great metaphor for the rebellion at this point. Not only do you have to escape the Empire's prison. But you then have to jump off an impossibly tall structure and swim to shore. Most people aren't going to make.

In a way Luthien seems like the prisoners. He already knows he and everyone else in the rebellion is already dead. It is just a matter of who will survive the fall off the their escape of the empire and the swim across time to the fall of the Empire.

Sorry to ramble. Just a great and powerful show.

I'm not sure. No one got ****canned for Aldhani. If anything, she'll turn it as a play for more resources to catch Axis. She'll make him responsible through Cassian since it was his mom's words that sparked the riot (at least that's what will be said).

No, this was well said. The Luthen comparison is spot on and insightful. This show is just incredibly deep on so many levels. It's really phenomenal storytelling.

That was just phenomenal writing, and it didn't feel like they took shortcuts.

Everyone was there at the end but it didnt devolve into hero mode from Val/Cinta/Luthen. Instead, we got the payoff from the oppression the locals had been feeling.

And seeing Luthen start to change from ruthless, to maybe not quite so was great.

Andor joining the rebellion has just been this great progression to being all in instead of just shortcutting it by having someone die.

I guess I would sum up the show by saying the writing is so well thought ought and organic with character progression. It's awesome.

So is there only going to be a season 2 and that's it? A lot to pack in, introduce k2so then kill off basically everyone else on both sides besides Cassian, his jailmate buddy and Mon Mothma. Although… I could watch a spin off series on the characters so far if they went that route.

When that first anvil strike hit...i knew it was turning up to 11.

Lots of thoughts and no good words, right now. Just an amazing show with a great finale.

Mothma is just as ruthless as Luthen in her own way. I think she became my favorite character over the course of the show.

When the band changed from a dirge to a livelier tune, did it remind anyone else of the theme from Last of the Mohicans? That or bagpipe music.

I did love how the band playing was the music score for that funeral procession. Made it 20x more poignant than if they had done something else.

What a show.

I find the spy craft just as compelling as the action. Mon deliberately having that conversation so the driver would hear it was so brilliant - all the suspicion around her financial moves and even the marriage alliance with the gangster now point to the husband, not her. Such a complex interesting character, and O'Reilly plays her perfectly. Loved every scene with her and Luthien particularly this season.

This show trusts the audience so much that the Kreegor raid happens offscreen, but we see the undercover ISB agent in the room as they celebrate.
