Had to settle for watching it on my laptop at 6 AM at Disney World, just couldn't stand to wait 72 hours to see how it wrapped up.

Immensely satisfying to watch the big man smack the local Imp officer in the face and turn and incite the crowd. GIlroy is really great at building and releasing tension. It's very satisfying to watch people have enough with a corrupt oppressive system and decide to fight back, even when it means a lot of them die for it. Brutal watching that one stormy with the mounted cannon lighting them up.

Was really hoping Meero would kill Syril after he saved her. Thought she would want to tie up that loose end. Liked her getting stomped by the mob, should serve to make her even more vicious going forward.

Luthen didn't make much sense going to Ferrix to kill Cassian with Cinta and the Waif already on the ground. But I guess they needed to have him do the final recruit.

Mon Mothma with the awesome subtle blaming of financial woes on her husband. That was really solid knowing the driver was listening. But also proof that she's in it to win it, sacrificing her relationships with her husband and daughter (although she didn't look too displeased) at the introduction.

My biggest takeaway from the episode was that for a show named Andor, it was really about everyone else. And better for it.

Luthen and Cassian final interaction was short and solid. Basically showed Luthen he was the same as him. Willing to sacrifice everything.

Every interaction with Bee is so well written.

I'm really glad we know Cassian survives another few years or I would be super anxious to know if Luthen kills him or not.

What a great show. I didn't think Star Wars could top Mandalorian or Rogue One, but here we are.

Marva's speech got me super choked up. Glad she got a final scene. It'll be interesting to see how season two plays out. I believe it started filming this week and wraps up next summer.

What a tease at the end credits as well.

Got dayam thats how you wrap up a season. Brilliant, tense, moving, fantastic music, performances

Still magnificently subtle even in chaos

you could see the blonde doubting the mission and not wanting to kill andor the whole time. The indecision, almost to the point of paralysis in her role in the episode. The balance of life and love against sacrifice.

You could see luthen in proud disbelief of the moment rising, and reconsidering the balance of killing andor/covering his tracks shifting as he watched

The looks of self doubt among even rank and file riot troops watching the mother's speech, knowing they are the bad guys…

Such mature, sophistication in a. Star wars series is so fantastic to see.

Did you not see Luthen smile and put the pistol down. Appeared clear to me they were aligned.

Imo he decided not to already, in the square. Certainly dont think its a cliff hanger. Luthen knows andor is in all the way.

I agree. It's like he was thinking he was wrong, given how much Marva believed in a rebellion. It wasn't a cliff hanger given what we know, but more of a "now the real work begins".

Solid finale. Nothing too crazy, but a satisfying conclusion to the season. Still think the high point of the season was One Way Out. (But anvil guy kicking the stormtrooper off the bell tower might've been the high point of this episode.)

Do y'all think Mon pushed her husband about the gambling to cover her own ass, knowing the driver was a spy?

Thought the final scene was a perfect note to end on.

That was a great bow to wrap up the season. Gonna be a long wait till 2024.

Edit: only thing I wish we had seen was the scene where the empire took out Kreegyr or whatever his name is. I'm just a sucker for space battles in Star Wars.

To be honest, I was sort of hoping for a showdown between Andor and Meero or Karn, but still satisfied overall.

  • Lucky for Karn, Corv who was one of Meeros officers just got knifed so there's a job opening for ya!
  • Luthen inadvertently attending the funeral and listening intently to Maarvas speech was hilarious
  • Mon Mothas husband being framed probably doesn't harm him. It's just gambling, probably not worth for the Empire to arrest the husband of a Senator.
  • Sure the uprising was uncoordinated, lots of chaos etc, but that was the start. Next seasons should show increasing organization, structure and radicalization.
  • Maarva "I love him more than anything he could do wrong." totally giving her son permission to do dark things for the rebellion.
  • Between Bix, the big guy, explosives boy etc looks like Andor has his crew for next season.
  • Neemik my man, those were some wise words, RIP

What a great, smart script, everything being done has an understandable reason behind it. So sad season 2 will probably be 2024.

There is no gambling issue in Coruscant, she made it up specifically to provide a reason for some of the money issues to the empire. So, yes she did it knowing the driver is listening in, but it's even worse because Perrin (husband) isn't actually doing it right now

I mean, that's what I gathered as well, which is why I ask. Was just seeing if everyone else interpreted the same.

Meero is changed. I think for the first time she was scared. No, she was absolutely terrified out of her mind.

She used to being in complete control and being in a position of power. They've been building it in how she handled Blevin and her interactions with Bix and everyone else. You see that really well in this episode in how she orders the imperials on Ferrix around and how she talks to Partagaz. She's also fearless, as she walks around the city with a single escort and goes after Cassian herself with just two guards. Nothing scares her because she'sj complete control. Then all of a sudden she's in the crowd, unarmed, there's chaos, and she's powerless. She realizes the illusion of her power and authority, and how the rebellion and these people she's been looking down her nose at can destroy it in an instant. She's kind of a metaphor for the empire that way.

Syril brings her back and saves her, and instead of being short and angry with his impertinence, she thanks him. With all of her ISB cronies, dark troopers, storm troopers, and all of the other imperials there, it's lowly Syril who rescues her. She realizes she's underestimated and rebuffed him and been blind, and her life has been turned upside down. No way she's killing Syril after that.

Yeah, Maarva's speech and Nemik's manifesto were really well done. Really solid writing they're and overall. Phenomenal evening to a season, and I can't wait for season 2.

Agree.

Also, the scenes with (ex?) Sergeant Mosk and Syril was rather funny.

Wordlessly exchanging hats, or Mosk drinking rather aimlessly in the streets after the uprising. Guess he's in line for a promotion after Syril is brought on board by Meera.
