Obviously didn't watch the videos and are just judging them by the thumbnails if you think they're not full of joy. They're literally just as emotional as the priest always is. And the second link is a channel that is mainly known for their Star Wars fandom.

I get that it's not your thing, but it's bizzare to me that you are so vocal about it rather than just ignoring what you're not interested in. Your vendetta against them is weird and you've repeatedly made it known when I have posted links. It's like a reactor stole your wife or something.

Wouldn't be Star Wars if there wasn't talk about overexposed reactors.

So all the deaths at the hand of Darth Vader is pretty much Obi-Wan's fault. Dude had two chances to finish off Anakin but chose to let him live.

I'm sorry, but if you don't find the term "reactor" ridiculous, I don't know what else to say. That's what started this whole thing, and the rest is just personal complaints about a certain type of personality who's all over YouTube. All I'm saying is, EVERYONE makes fun of the term "influencer." It's been mocked relentlessly for years. And I had never heard the term "reactor" until you posted it just now, then thought, "Wow, that's someone even worse/more hilarious than influencer." It's just an insanely dumb term, that's all.

It's clear Obi Wan wouldn't kill baby Hitler. Wouldn't even kill grown up Hitler apparently.

Coming from someone who I'm positive on more than one occasion has used the word "podcaster", I find that pretty funny and ironic.

Again, welcome to 2016 pal. I'm so sorry the word triggers you so much.

Seriously. As cool as the Vader scenes were, this needed a different ending than Obiwan lets him go again. Yeah, yeah, there's the whole "jedi dont murder people" bit, but this dude runs around slicing up other imperials with impunity. You can't lop Vader's head off and still consider it defense? Vader is huffing and puffing like he just ran the 800. Go for it, man

Obi Wan is the true villain of Star Wars

Podcasting is a well-respected, highly popular, billion-dollar industry. And "podcaster" is the proper term for the *millions* of people who work in that space, either for giant corporations or out of their garages, for at least 15 years now. "Reactors" have nothing even remotely equivalent to that level of corporate backing or cultural saturation.

I just realized Obi-Wan gave Vader the scar on top of his head that we see in ROTJ when he slashed his helmet off.

I haven't read y'all's reaction to todays so as not to get brought down.

That's what I'm frickin talking about! THAT is what I wanted from this series. It felt epic, it looked epic. The duel was great and I enjoyed the dialog. "Your strength has returned, but your weakness remains." Loved Hayden appearing in the way he did, the cracked mask, the blended voice. I really felt like a kid watching that!

The third sister had her issues but I also liked her end. Stepping away and looking at it, a surviving youngling being the lone person to know Luke's identity and being forced to face killing him with what was done to her friends is a story I could get behind. It was a clunky journey but I choose to overlook the warts.

Overall it was just a really nice ending. I just wish the first 5 could have been at that level.

It did leave me interested in a second season. All the fan service/Vader/Leia/Luke stuff is out of the way so maybe it could focus on the lone Obi-wan in the desert aspect of things.

I'll come back and read your takes later. For now I'm just choosing to overlook the stupid moments of the first 5 and enjoy that finale. Big thumbs up on the landing for me!

Doesn't mean I can't or don't think it's stupid as hell that people get payed to "react" online to other people's content, and that with a straight face are referred to as "reactors." I don't care how successful they are. YouTube culture in general bugs me, and is kind of known for being mocked. "Really odd thing" for you to be into.

I'm with you. Watching people watch things is peak internet idiocracy.

Decent payoff. Loved the duel. The callback to Rebels with the split helmet. And #1 everything was better with the original music. It just feels right. Should have had it all along

Like the voice splitting between Vader and Anakin. Hayden nailed that

Obi Wan is my favorite character and I'll gladly take more.

Biggest complaint is Reva is still alive. Should have killed her. Nobody wants more of that character

BTW, the Beru actress is the one that got wrapped up with the crazy Keith Reniere cult and then eventually got out and helped bring it down, right? Good to see she got her career wheels back on

Pity? It's was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play in it, for good or evil, before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many.'

I haven't read the whole thread so apologies in advance. I've actually avoided it because I like the show, and well… not everyone here does.

All I could think about when Obi Wan walked away from Vader was Alderaan. That decision destroyed a whole planet that included his "friends" who he's trusted so much with watching Leia. Dude just left a Sith Lord chillin. Again.

All they had to do was have him sense Luke in trouble first, then he's justified in leaving. But nope. He goes back to Alderaan and everyone is all smiles. And all I can think is Obi Wan signed all their death sentences.
Obviously Vader wasn't going to get killed in this show. But I agree with you, I think they should've either showed Vader getting his ass beat and somehow escaping or something more urgent (Luke) pulling Obi Wan away. I mean, his main motivation is to keep Luke safe, right? The single biggest thing he could've done to keep Luke safe is to kill his evil, powerful father when he had him on the ropes.

That said, I really loved that battle scene and that episode. This series was not great but it wasn't nearly as bad as BoBF

Always love this kind of continuity. Love that we know where he got that scar now.

I guess it's possible at this point in time that the empire was on a small budget for TIE fighters, so they didn't want to waste any chasing small ships.

I wish they had chosen a different path for Reva. The stuff with her chasing Luke was so sloppy. "If it's dark, and she keeps her hood up and then he gets knocked unconscious we don't have any problem with continuity." Blah

Other than that, I thought it was a pretty solid episode. Definitely the best on the season/series

"Influencer" is bad enough, but the term "reactor" somehow blows it away in terms of ridiculousness. Please tell me you just made that up and it isn't a title/job that people actually have.

(I'm not at all against people posting their reactions to things online, but legitimizing it in any way is insane.)

Eh that is a whole YouTube subculture. Blind Wave and guys like them are fun to watch.

so I bagged on this show mercilessly after the first two episodes in this thread, but wanted to come back and at least admit that the last two episodes went a long way to redeem this series. Not entirely, or really even close, as there were still a ton of flaws and pitiful execution in this entire thing, and the first four episodes were absolutely god awful, along with outright mistakes made with the story that should never have happened... but the end fight scene was awesome (even though having him walk away and not be forced to separate due to some other circumstance was just dumb), so at least we got one very cool moment out of six episodes.

Just finished the episode. Quick thoughts…

I liked the voice modulation when Vader had his helmet cut open. Cool touch.

Loved the emperor basically telling Vader "Bruh, you need to chill the F out" lol

Ice Cube Jr. did well in this series. I assume we'll see him in Andor?

I thought, as an actress, Moses Ingram has had a couple of redeemable moments the past two episodes. I think her character was an interesting idea that was horribly written and executed. Eh, probably could say that about the whole show.

Ice Cube Jr was one of the worst actors in this series. Are you serious? Same with his sidekick the plain face asian chick. Both forgettable characters.
