The only certainty at this point is Kenobi has to kill Reva. It is going to be glorious.
Yeah, that ain't happening.

Since Reva knows something is up with a boy on Tatooine, normally that would mean she'd have to die.

Of course Disney is going to come up with some ridiculous plot armor for Reva

He scolded the 3rd sister for kidnapping a senator's daughter.

To me, it is the same as in Rebels. Once Maul reveals to Kenobi that he knows there is a reason he is on Tatooine - he kills Maul.

I think she ends up sacrificing herself to save Kenobi.

You'd have to think another Ani/Obi duel will take place on the ship Obi-Wan is currently on. He fights Vader while Ice Cube and others fix the hyperdrive, or they have escape pods or a secondary ship to GTFO.

A hallway duel would seem to really favor Vader, so curious how Obi-Wan stops him, because he's got to immobilize him somehow or trap him somewhere to get everyone away. I think they'll take the tangent from Obi-Wan's line telling Reva - there are children there, are you going to let him do it again? Obi-Wan can't go back to Order 66, but he stop it from happening on a smaller scale with all those Force sensitive kids on that ship.

I'd guess Leia factors into this somehow. GIve them a touch of history before ANH

Reva feels like a free agent now. If she's going to Tatooine to try to take Luke, she might be trying to either regain her spot in the inquisitors, or maybe even go over Vader's head to the Big Cheese himself, saying look who I found.

Then the real trick is how does Luke not see Ben fighting with a lightsaber if he fights Reva at the homestead? That alone suggests that she either doesn't make it there or she decides to leave Luke alone based on her own experience with Vader / Inquistors growing up.

Go ahead and call the shot that when Obi-Wan returns triumphant to Tatooine, Qui-Gon Ghost Form is waiting for him.

One more carrot, what if they show all the kids/families from the Path getting to wherever they're going, and one of the travelers sets a bag down, and Baby Yoda hops out?

It's not the same at all.

They've already shown that Reva only fought for the Empire so she could get close to Vader and kill him. She's already on the redemption path in this show.

Never mind the real world politics of killing her off.

She could possibly sacrifice her for the ultimate redemption but there is no way in hell Kenobi kills her off simply because she knows Luke is alive. That would also go against Kenobi's character as well.

I'm thinking she ends up saving Luke from a direct threat, or sacrifices herself to protect the secret of his existence.

Thus continues the Disney strong female hero that saves the galaxy trend.

Something you said made me think....

The Path establishes that other Force enhanced kids and Jedi are out there. The Empire didn't get them all (at least not at this point in time).

So how many are out there? Why doesn't or wouldn't Yoda know this? Are Luke and Leia really the 'only' last hopes? Does the Empire get their **** together and round them all up before Ep IV?

Seems like having all these Jedi-like people running out there would muck up the final confrontation theme played out in the OT.

The smart thing would be for Reva to call Bale Organa and tell him to pick her up with a Bacta tank because she did get stabbed through the stomach with a lightsaber.

I don't know what they're going to do about the hyperdrive, gotta wait till next week but if there were spoilers I would read them.

Spoiler alert- Mace Windu is Reva's dad.

ALSO.....just gonna say it

I DID NOT HATE REVA IN THIS EPISODE....acting was actually better and i dont really know why....apparently this episode had a different writer but i dont see how that would factor into her performance as its the same director....but yeah, didn't have a problem with her in this one.

I haven't hated her I just am thoroughly confused on her character.

A former Jedi padawan who watched Darth Vader attempt to kill her and killed fellow younglings. Decides to join the Empire to hunt and kill Jedi without a great reason for why she is now wanting to kill Jedi. But turns out she is only killing Jedi so she can get close to Vader to try to kill him because he killed Jedi younglings... just confuses the mess outta me.

Probably because her motives changed/were revealed and her evil facade collapsed.

Someone else had said earlier that maybe she seemed like such a miscast here because she wasn't really evil. She was acting within the show as an evil character when she wasn't.

Then you have Darth Vader confirm in his final scene in E5 with something to the effect that "did you not think I didn't know who you are or what you were doing this whole time?"

I don't think Disney is smart enough to play such a meta game with her and have her overact on purpose as an evil character, but you might just be seeing a different side of her that is more congruous with her acting ability. Or, Disney did this on purpose and really is that forward thinking which is doubtful.

I don't think she's any less evil. Seems like she has gone full Sith, her ends justify any means.

I'd say she's still well on the red side of the force at this point.

I really do need some sort of explanation as to why Vader left her alive, seeing how he survived much worse. It has to be another purpose for her.

Do you know Skywalker what the best thing about being a mother f****** Jedi is? Do you? No? Well, I'll tell you. No mother f****** attachments! That's right. We can't form attachments, ask Master Yoda. You just get in there and hit and quit it and out the door to save another planet or re-balance the Force, or some s***. I love this mother f****** job.

So, Grand Inquisitor is still alive and knows Kenobi was drawn out by Leia being kidnapped. Seems like an enormous hole. What am I missing here?

As far as he knows Bale knows Obi Wan from the Republic/Clone Wars. There would be no reason to suspect any other attachment.

Yes, but he would know that it will draw out Kenobi (?). IDK. Maybe they tie this up by Kenobi / Organa agreeing he can't help Leia again.

There are alot of things that bother me about this show, but not finishing off Reva isn't one of them.

I feel like it's normal in the Sith power structure for the master to establish dominance over the apprentice, usually through violent means. The master's hubris convinces him that he will always be more powerful than the apprentice, and that the cycle of anger/hate/suffering of the apprentice only enhances the apprentice's dark side powers. Eventually, the apprentice surpasses the master and the cycle repeats, and thus the Sith line continues.

Canonically, the Inquisitors seem to have a power level far below any established Jedi or Sith, so it is easy to imagine Vader looks at it like this: Reva was always going to betray me (normal Sith behavior), and I will use her as a means to my own end (Kenobi) until she does. When she does turn on me, I will put her in her place - if she dies, she dies. If she lives, she will be even more useful to me, but still not a threat to me.

Anakin/Vader's overconfidence is on display throughout this episode, making this all the more believable.

Potential spoiler for Rebels, for those that care - to the same end, remember that the Grand Inquisitor would rather kill himself than risk Vader's wrath. He knows failure results in something worse than death.

All the more reason that Vader and his minions have to believe that Kenobi dies, or it spirals the potential plot holes out of control.

More than anything, the Empire is a bureaucracy.

The Third Sister is an asset that belongs first and foremost to Sheev Palpatine. So if Vader kills her, first of all he's got to get the coroner out there and confirm her time of death and cause of death and file a report in triplicate.

Then you're calling in sanitation and getting that mess cleaned up. Then someone has to come get her uniform and her helicopter saber, get them cleaned, and back into circulation.

But then you remember this is Jabiim, and of course Jabiim has a *********local union, so now their rep has to come out and confirm she was killed outside of Imperial territory. And now you're hearing **** from them about how using the heavy laser cannon might have disrupted some ecological crap at the secret base. And then they're up your ass about the carbon footprint you left behind wrenching the decoy freighter out of the sky.

Finally, you get back to Imperial Center and now the Grand Inquisitor's giving you his special brand of BS about who he wants to promote to new Third Sister, and then here comes the crap about his sister's daughter, who maybe can't use the Force, but tries really hard and is just really full of youthful optimism, and nobody would have to know she can't actually fight with a lightsaber. And suddenly that dummy is leaving you little notes around the office telling you have a great day and sending you care packages and gift cards through the Imperial Intranet. And now you're thinking maybe you just gut all 12 of them, because honestly the difference between a happy Sidious and a pissed-off Sidious isn't even that noticeable, but then you remember about all the paper work you'd have to file and you decide just a hole in the rib cage will teach the Little Reva Band a lesson.

When Vader sees Kenobi in A New Hope, he's not surprised to see him alive.

They're going to know he's alive but can't find him. What will be a hole is why not try kidnapping Leia again since it worked the first time?

Either that or Vader ends his pursuit of him are the only two possibilities I see.

I think Vader is going to believe Kenobi dies.

In A New Hope, when Vader first senses Kenobi on the Death Star he says "I sense a presence I have not felt since...." and trails off.

If he was under the impression Kenobi was dead, but never saw his body, it could fit the story line without too much trouble.
